My first experience with Ashley Furniture was in 2014 when I ordered a living room set. They were not delivered on the date agreed because they could not find my address. It was rescheduled for a later date (interestingly enough my Ashley bill got to my address). I received by delivery weeks after and the sofa and love seat color didn’t match so I refused the delivery and had to wait another few weeks for them to reorder my set from the warehouse. I got the 2nd delivery and I got 2 love seats instead of a love seat and sofa. Again I refused the delivery and had to wait to receive furniture I had already made a deposit for and was making payment on. It took like 2 months to get my correct order. Ashley promised me a gift card as compensation for my troubles which I never received. I needed coffee tables and decided to give Ashley another shot…what was I thinking? I ordered a coffee table set. It was set to be delivered 12/17/16, when it was delivered the coffee table was damaged. I guess the merchandise is not inspected before delivery. This has been my second purchase from Ashley and my last. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Now I get why people shop for furniture at places like rent a center and Aarons which although have higher prices have better customer service than Ashley Furniture. I am a very unhappy Customer, so unhappy that I am considering cancelling my order. Stay away from this place!

I am so disappointed how I have been treated today. My bed was completed by 10:13. Everything was great. Called at 11:13, yes 1 hour later because my headboard separated from the base of the bed and when I put in back in it just came back out again. I was told that I would get a call back in 45 minutes. 2 hours later no call back so I called them then they tell me that they should be able to tell me something by close of business. Ummm what time is close of business? It is 7:00...Ok??? So 6:30 comes and I am like let me call these people back. I call now let me tell you they keep you on hold forever. The girl puts in a ticket for the first time I get an email where I need to send pics. She tells me that someone will be out tonight well it is 10:45 PM and I have concluded that no one will be out. SMDH. I think I just need to return the bed if this the way you are treated on the first day I dont even want to know what happens if you use the warranty 6 months down the road. I mean communication is key. So sad that the local store is where the great experience with this company stopped. I almost feel like I went to a shady car dealership. I feel bamboozled.

My parents recently ordered two beds from this Durham location. The beds were said to be ordered on two different days, one today Feb. 25th and the other March 6th. Today, the delivery day for the first bed was suppose to go into my sisters room, but the movers insisted that it belonged in the master bedroom because of its size. Not listening to the customer they set the wrong bed up in the wrong room and left. Mind you there is another delivery coming on in the next week for a bed to be put up in the master room, and now the customer service woman who we spoke to very uncaring stated that there was nothing to be done about... F#$%ING REALLY!!! So Ashleys is deciding not to correct their own mistake!!! Now this star is based on the customer service call that we as customers made. The actual furniture is very lovely and when we initially went into the store to shop customer service was excellent. The issue is how tbe on call representative handle the situation, she was nonchalant, uncaring, and possibly needs to take a service excellence class.

AWESOME TEAM!!! Everyone at this location is awesome and accommodating. Ive read some of the reviews they have and it seems like all of the issues are with delivery...which has nothing to do with the stores staff itself. We went in on a Monday evening, about 45 minutes til closing, and everyone was super helpful! Then, a few days later, I saw that the chaise we had purchased went on sale. Being that it hadnt been delivered yet I figured Id give a call and see if I could get the new sale price. NOT EVEN A PROBLEM! They fixed the price and, per my request, gave me store credit. I ended up adding a chair to the order and they added it to my existing delivery date. Fantastic staff! Seriously, if you want a good shopping experience, not one where the sales people are trying to push things on you, GO TO THIS LOCATION!

I had a wonderful time here at this store. The staff is centered around the customer experience while in the store and they are all very knowledgeable about their product. I had planned on paying cash when i went in to purchase, but after the sales manager (Randy Shepherd) told me about the interest free financing program I decided to keep my money and use theirs. Another great thing that Randy showed me was the Tempur Pedic mattresses! I was a little shocked about the price at first, but now that I have it in my home I could not be more excited about my purchase and I wake up feeling refreshed each morning. If you ever need a great deal on furniture or a mattress for your home, I would highly recommend going into this store.

Run away from this store. Trust me! Purchased $6,000 worth of furniture. Delivered with no hardware to put the bed together. Left all the pieces in our room. The adjustable bed cables were bent and did not work. On hold for 45 minutes while the delivery truck drivers left garbage in the yard and left. Asked customer service to come get this out of my house. Refused to send the drivers back. Now must wait 2 weeks for possible return visit with hardware. Had to contact the adjustable bed manufacturer to get motor replaced and still dont have a date for that. I cried for days. Saved up for years and this is how they treat us. Never again. It should be a crime what they are doing to us.

Ive been waiting over a month for the sofa that I ordered - got a call today that its going to be delayed even further. So disappointed. Ready to cancel the order entirely and just go to Rooms to Go. Updated to add - I got a new delivery date with a new 3-hour window, only to get a call that said they were an hour earlier than the confirmed window. All-in-all, Ive spent probably 1.5 hours on the phone with customer service, trying to get this sorted out over multiple days... all for delivery of a sofa. Maybe my experience is not common, but its been horrible. Never buying from Ashley again.

Our Sales Professional, Viviana, was perfect, she quickly became almost like family to us, she guided us through our furniture purchases and followed through on every part of the process with us and never did we feel pressured, she gave us the information to help us make the best buying decision and her manager even stepped in along the way to ensure we had the best experience possible. Did I mention I managed a furniture store in the past for over 10 years and for them to exceed my expectations is not an easy task.
