Incredibly rude and confrontational staff and general manager. The cinch line to tighten the snowboard boot popped on the mountain when my son tried to tighten it and they blamed us. This was obviously a warn out metal part and not an exposed part that he could have physically damaged unless he went inside of the boot with needle nose pliers. This happened in the morning so I had rent another pair of boots on the mountain so that my son could board. Going throght the whole rental process again cost the whole family a 1/2 hour of time on the snow. We had already spent well over $150 on rentals and extras like goggles and hats at Extreme and in the end they refused to refund the money I paid for the useless boots. One annoying employee actually told me they would normally have charged me for "breaking" the boot and blamed my son. He said they were doing us a favor which is outrageous! Stay away from this place. The customer is always wrong.

I had a car emergency at Sugar Mountain over MLK weekend, and the guys in Extreme let me use their phone and their warmth to call a tow truck. When no tow truck or cab was willing to come out in the 5°F weather, one of the guys who worked there drove my girlfriend and I over to Boone about 20 miles in his own car so we didnt freeze to death. All of my ski business in the future is definitely going to be here.

Super kind & helpful! Never skid before, and they didnt make me feel like an idiot. :) However, rent your things one day at a time- you can renew them without coming back if you decide to extend your visit. We left a day early and lost some money.
