First off, I would have given this place 5 stars if it wasnt for one very rude older gentleman who saw us comparing their prices to online prices and told us (without asking any questions or giving us a proper greeting) that they didnt have to sell us the jacket and that we would find a better deal than what they had. He was totally right! They were doing 50% off of all of their jackets and their price was better than any we could find online but he most definitely could have approached us in a more professional manner. It left a bad taste in everyones mouth. That being said, every other staff member there was exceptionally kind and helpful. We were in there several times over the weekend (we rented our equipment from them and came back to shop the sales) and the employees were great. The rental crew was interactive, considerate, and funny. I felt a genuine sense of concern that we got the right equipment for our skill level and the guy signing us in even told us how we could get a better deal by renting a certain way. I would definitely recommend them if you can steer clear of the grumpy older gentleman.

The staff was AWESOME! They fitted my wife with ski boots and my son with a snowboard/bindings/boots. My wifes feet have never felt any better while skiing. They walked her through the fitting process and explained everything in detail. They never once tried to up sell us on anything and she actually fell in love with on of the cheaper pair (mainly because of the furry lining). My sons birthday was coming up and wanted a board of his own. I told him that I was not going to be able to spending a lot on one since the package prices that we have seen started around $600 and up. The staff was very understanding and made us one hell of a deal on a Burton board, K2 bindings, and boots with the BOA system. We would ski the next day at Sugar and then head home for the season. The staff made sure we brought the board back afterwards so they could wax it for storage and we could go home knowing the board will be okay for next year. Thanks guys for such an awesome experience and we will be back!

My fiancé and I went there to find her a new pair of boots for her snowboard after her old ones started hurting. The folks at ski country searched high and low for a pair that would fit just right. They explained the differences between each type and brand, and finally settled on a style that she liked and felt comfortable in. Shes in love with her new boots and well certainly be back! As far as price wise, you are in an expensive area of NC so dont expect Walmart prices especially for all the help and guidance you get.

This place is way over priced and a huge rip off considering most of it is last seasons clothes and what a joke on the snowboard and ski prices. If you are a idiot from Florida and have more money then brains then this is the place for you. I have worked in the ski industry for 11 years now (ski instructor, ski rep) and see more expensive clothes in Ski Country in banner elk and the store in Sugar mtn then in ASPEN. Tell me theres not something wrong with that lol.

I just want to say that customer service is exceptional here. I bought a brand new board and bindings from them and their staff was friendly and not pushy. I rode the board once and realized that it wasnt quite what I was looking for and they allowed me to exchange it for something else no questions asked and with a smile on their face. I highly recommend Ski Country Sports if you are looking to buy a board that comes with all the technical help you could ask for!

My boyfriend and I bought our boots, boards and bindings from here today. Fantastic customer service. They took extra time to make sure we had the perfect equipment. We even went to surrounding stores prior to purchasing just to check out our options and there was no question that Ski Country was who we wanted to give our business to. Matt helped us and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. They treated us like friends. Would highly recommend!
