I donated many of my stuff to Goodwill back in other states in the past. So, naturally we bring our extra stuff to them instead of yard sale after we moved here. The staffs at other location are always friendly; helping everyone to unload their stuff and make sure we got receipts for tax purpose. After all, it’s donations. The staffs in this location are not the same way AT ALL. They never help to unload and toss stuff around like trash. It just doesn’t make sense to see them destroy good donation in the way they handle it. The attitude is terrible; I have never received a “thank you” for the several visits. I don’t understand why they stick their nose so high and get to pick on the donation and order us to move staff as their desire? Of course, I don’t think this represent overall Good Will location but somehow I start to feel they are more for profit than charity. It was never a good feeling when I bring my donations to this location. Now I bring all my donations to Salvation Army on Tryon after I find where they are. I believe they put our donation into better use.

While spending 2 weeks camping on Lake Jordan I visited this store with my daughter and mother. I went to pay with a North Carolina check I presented my out of state license and active duty military ID. I was told very rudely that I could not pay with a check because I didnt have a NC drivers license. I said I paid just a few days ago with a check in Cary and always in Fayetteville, NC. She said that this Goodwill was not affiliated with that one or any of the ones in Fayetteville. I went back the next on 8/19/2013 and a young girl cashed me out and guess what she took my check no questions asked. She had the manager verify my IDs and away I went. I had a feeling that the older women was lying. I found the older women to be pretty hostile to everyone. I also witnessed her telling a man that a pair of boots were $40.00 when the sign reads $4.59 for boots. I felt she was accusing him of changing the price on the boots when the shoes and boot are not marked individually. The man looked at her with disgust, paid for everything but the boots and left the store.

Prices are up, quality is down. They dont take debit cards. No matter how busy they are, they never open a 2nd cash register though all stores have two. Lines can sometimes take 15 minutes or more to check out. If you have one or two items and pay cash, it doesnt matter. The person in front of you might have 20 items of cheap glassware and the cashier has to wrap each one separately. Then theres the times when someone is finished checking out and they had the cashier a debit or credit card which they dont take. It takes 5 minutes for the manager to come up front and void out the entire transaction. I think the 5 star review is a shill. Everyone else gives GCF one or two stars.

Wonder whose brilliant idea it was to display clothing by just article type and color. They do not organize by sizes. WHAT the heck??? So u have to look through each entire rack for your size? I was needing maternity clothes and apparently its all mixed in. We just walked right out. Dont waste your time unless u have a specific color in mind. Even if you find it, good luck finding it in your size. Saves employee time.....but not a customers time. Dont shop here for clothing.

Horrible horrible employees! Every person Ive ever encountered there have the worst attitude. The manager or whatever she is walks around with a chip on her shoulder and literally cussed at me. At goodwill!! She cussed at me!! Over a pair of $2 shorts that she over charged me for. She rang them up twice!! I will NEVER go back!!

I enjoy going to this thrift store about once a week now. I always find something amazing in what I call "what Nots"..crackled glass vases for like 1 buck what a steal! I love the book selection and they have almost brand new pillows and lots of candles that are still new. I wish they took debit cards, but I would be broke..lol

Tried to drop a donation and was told by the staff that they were closed. It was 5:40pm and the door clearly read 6pm closing. I pointed to the door and told the woman it wasnt 6pm yet. She looked at my donation and said she wouldnt take it because she didnt have time. I told her to forget it and left. Very rude staff.

Lady in front of me wanted to buy something but it was not marked. It could not been worth more than a few dollars but they told her it had to go to the back to be repriced. They lady couldnt get what she wanted and the store lost a sale because they had not done their jobs. As expected she said she would not be back.

Bought an electronic item from here and it didnt even work. You would think they could at least plug it in and test it before selling it? Prices on some things are pretty high for what they are as well. Youll have to wait at the check out line for a long time. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Not as good as some of the other nearby locations. Non-standard items priced based on eBay asking prices. Selection tends to be not as good as what you can find in other locations.
