Went in for a seam ripper cause l was told by a friend that Michaels would have it. Large store without any hanging signs. You have to walk to a shelf and see whether what you want is on that shelf. The signs are on that shelf but you cant read them from afar which defeats the purpose. There was no extra staff to direct you to whatever youre looking for. The only people l saw were Chris and some other lady who were both doing check out. I cant blame them for slacking. They were trying to go through a veeeery long line. The store SHOULD have better staffing. At one point l considered calling the store number in order to be directed towards the seam ripper. Its a Friday afternoon, most people have left work so its obviously a peak period in ANY business. Why arent there more people working? If it wasnt for the fact that it was a trip to get here, l would have left. Btw, Im writing this in line. I thought l would have checked out by the time l finished typing but alas, Im still here, so l obviously have a lot of time on my hands.

I was told about this Michaels by a crafting buddy. It is in a nowhere location but yet easy to get to by train and across the street from my bank!!! Perfect!!! The store was a shock to me...it was spacious and well organized and clearly priced and they had items on clearance. All of what i just named in the previous sentence is not found in many other craft stores that i have been to including those in the Bronx and Pearl Paint in Manhattan. I had to hold back from purchasing items that i have wanted for years. The only down side to this is that I think they should add a fabric section because alot the fabric stores in NYC (Garment District & Canal Street) are closing. This store will now be on my list for place to go for all my crafting needs.

I was actually very upset about my visit. I traveled with my friend who was looking for plastic canvas to do a very special project for her nephew ( which is usually the case when it comes to why we all go to Michaels ) In the rain we made it to the store and looked around. Tired of our unsuccessful search we asked a rep. Where the canvas would be. She said they had none. Sad we returned to the rain where she showed me the plastic canvass they had online. I was determined to go back into the store and find them ! Later we see they had a whole wall dedicated to them !! I was gonna lose my marbles. !!! Luckily for the sales person I couldnt find her !!!! Please be aware of what answers you tell your customers if you dont have them.

I agree with others about the long lines. There is often a lazy employee standing around or hiding in the corner that could come help move the long lines along. That being said Chris the Store Manager is great. Every time I see him he is hustling and making sure all of his employees are doing the same. Today I needed help while he was busy stocking shelfs. He stopped everything he was doing, helped me promptly and happily then went back to work. If every store was run by people like this I dont think we would ever had customer service issues. Overall they keep things clean and in stock and the sales staff are always nice even if they arent chomping at the bit to help when management is not around.

When I went to return some stuff that I could not find use for. I heard my cashier say with a very attitude do you see what shes returning and made the comment I havent seen this in a while. I dont understand why you have to be rude. If i didnt use something i have then right to return it. That is why theres 180 days to return policy. The staff can be rude, there scanners dont always work and the lines are just to long to be waited on. I prefer the Michaels in Chelesa even though there busy there very helpful and knowledgeable. The managers are very nice especially the manager Tiffany.

For yarn, this place really irks me. They are very slow to restock the yarn, and they have their surplus at heights that are inaccessible to someone who is shopping. Of course they have the ladder type thing with Im 100% sure we would not be allowed to ascend. I once asked a guy who was clearly 7 feet tall to grab me a yarn I couldnt reach even with my illustrious "ups" from my high school basketball days. Its the closest one for me, but because its never properly stocked with the brands I usually buy, I always end up having to drive to the Rego Park location instead

Large store with ample parking up front or at the one of the adjacent superstore lots. They have a huge selection of goods spread out across amply spaced aisles. Prices are fair. Bargains aplenty. Helpful staff. You can lose track of time as crawl from one end to the other. They have such a deep collection that you can easily lose track time. An hour becomes two or three as you marvel at the variety and depth each sub-dept of art specialty possesses. Their bathroom facilities are small and disappointing and require you to find a staff to access.

The store is well kept just dont try to get somebody to help you because they dont have anybody on the floor to help you. Today they had 2 girls at the door asking people for their zip codes. I asked one of them for something she said she didnt work for the store. (?) Another thing I applied for a part time and on the application they ask you your birth date. Until now I have not received a call from them. Shame on you Michaels!

Came in to buy some fake flowers (the other location didnt have enough). Although the sticker was missing the cashier still rang me up so I didnt have to wait too long to leave. They have a good selection for crafts and seasonal decorations. A good place to stock up on materials!

I love Michaels! Excellent spot for arts and crafts supplies, framing, and party planning needs. You can literally roam the aisles and hang out at Michaels for a few hours. Lines are long and slow especially when there are coupons involved. Lots of kids and lots of junk to buy.

Definitely one of the best arts and craft place you could find in the area. There is plenty of things you can pick up on whatever you want to make and create. Good selection on paints and brushes as well as fabrics. And there are some seasonal goods to decorate your home with.

Bad: Security cameras at the checkout dont work! Also, rough neighborhood alert. GOOD: Friendly cashiers who are nice to you if youre nice to them, store is well stocked and has a surprisingly diverse and inspiring clearance section.

A huge store, over priced, bad parking and minimal staff who are surprisingly ignorant of their products. If you know what youre looking for and what you should pay then it is OK, otherwise youre far better off shopping on Amazon.

Staff were rude, eating at the register while checking out customers. Having random conversations on store earpiece while checking out. Overall worst customer service from a Michaels that I have ever had.
