Some of the store employees be racially profiling people. I was shopping with my friend and her mom (theyre Italian and Im black). I wanted some socks so we went into a store. Two caucasian women walked in first then my friend, her mom and I. The cashier imediately ran from the cashier and came to me. Instead of her asking "Can I help you or anything?" Shes legit breathing on my shoulder watching me like a hawk. I began to get annoyed because when I shop I dont like it when employees be all over me. They can watch me, but invading my personal space is unacceptable. Why didnt she watch the two caucasian ladies that walked in before us? Another time is when my family and I walked in one of the jewelry stores. We only put one foot in the threshold and the lady (caucasian) says "Oh we have cheap things over there!" Which pissed me off. I showed her the amount of money I had (Which was over $10gs) and told her I do not want to spend my money on an establishment that racially profiling people for the color of their skin and/or the way they dress. Just be aware guys, if youre not white your chances of being racially profiled are very high.

The Galleria is a wonderful place for teenage kids to hang around, although sometimes I have an unsafe feeling. There are a lot of stores that have nice clothing. However, I wouldnt suggest getting a job there because Ive heard the supervisors are very smug to their employees. My boyfriend worked at Sears and on his very first day of working a 13 hr shift, Kyle the supervisor was being very rude and spiteful. He yelled at him for stacking something incorrectly and had the tone of voice as if he was speaking down to him. Even during lunch break, Kyle wouldnt let him eat in peace and had him go back to work while promising to give him another break and never did. Kyle didnt even help him with the work he had to do. I find this very impolite and uncivil. How could work places hire such unmannered people?

DONT use Sears repair service! (or at least dont if the repairman coming to your home is named Chris). The owners of the house I was watching needed to repair their washing machine. It went *horribly!* This guy they sent named Chris spent much of his time hitting on me. He asked me very personal questions, practically asked me out on a date All *after* I told him Im engaged. He made me feel Very uncomfortable since I was alone in the house. Luckily, the owner returned home after I called him, & this jerk actually had the nerve to tell the owner that not only did he "like" me, but that he & his wife have an 8 month old. This Chris guy is a pig & I dont want this jerk doing the same to someone else. He was very lucky to get off with just a weeks suspension without pay.

The diversity of stores is good, the parking is cheap, the food court is mostly chain fast food, the amount of restrooms is inadequate (although they are clean). This mall is the alternative to The Westchester which has more high-end stores. The Galleria shows the diversity of cultures in Westchester as its filled with customers from all over the globe. There is something comfortable about this mall that draws me back time and time again. Maybe its the forever on sale items at Macys, the crazy tie selection at Tates, or the endless supply of $9 graphic tee-shirts from Old Navy....

All of your typical mall stops are located here: clothing, shoes, department stores, food court. Theres nothing fancy or unique (except one native american themed store). Also, no Chocolatier or sephora. Its easy to get to and hang out, but not the nicest of malls. The Westchester is quite a few steps higher in elegance and price, where as the White Plains Mall is quite a few steps below in cleanliness and updated selection. The Galleria is a nice happy medium. If you dont mind driving an extra 20 minutes over the Tapanzee, the Palisades is the best selection and atmosphere.

Eubie Toro

Its a nice place to go shopping. There are a lot of different stores and they have a decent food court. I noticed that they have an area now where you can play life size chess, which I thought was pretty cool. They also have chess tables where you can play with a regular set, but I think you have to bring your own pieces. The mall has been around a long time and it shows, but I think they work really well with what they have. Its a pleasant experience overall and theres a good variety of stores.

The Galleria has an edge over its sister mall, The Westchester. It has much more affordable, or rather common brands (Pac Sun, Macys, Forever21) to offer up much more realistic buys for the general public (as opposed to brands such as Williams-Sonoma or Ferragamo). However, on more than one occasion I have been solicited for money. Either for the "bus" or to buy fruit snacks. Not that its securitys fault but I certainly dont play a part in it, declining offers and pleas, but it should be noted.

Its your run of the mill mall. Its quite old and has your typical chain stores, Macys being the major of them all. Has a food court that seems a little dated in terms of seating area but serves its purpose just fine. In my opinion it serves its purpose if youre there to shop. In terms of hanging out, Id go elsewhere. Im sure they will remodel and upgrade the mall eventually. If Im in the area, Id go but I wouldnt go out of my way to shop here.

The nail place is horrendous. It is dirty. The lady doing the pedicure wore a dress and the whole time I got a huge view of her crotch. She managed to cut my leg while scrubbing my feet?! Really!! They do not make sure to take out all the cuticles. Highly do not recommend this nail place to anyone!!! Run away they still use old products. Their waxing area is in the closet. Dirty!!!

I used to be a regular at the Galleria and I would shop at the stores, eat at the restaurants and get my hair done in the hair salons. There arent as many hair salons as there used to be so I wasnt able to get my hair done this time. That was my main purpose for going there on this visit. But they still have plenty of places to shop, eat and find entertainment in the area

Long time customer here, and there have been major changes along the way. I know its difficult, but its losing to the new and improved The Westchester and Yonkers Cross County Center with their upgraded fares and appearances (The Galleria could learn from them a lot)! Has gotten a little dirtier lately, especially by the parking lots elevator/staircase areas.
