Three strikes for Raymour and Flanigan. I purchased a wooden table and 6 chairs for our kitchen severla years ago at another R&F location Several of the seats of the chairs actually had nails facing upward, partially penetrating the cushions. We didnt realize until my daughter got scratched. The material from the seats showed wear within a few months and the material threads had pulls in it. One chair actually collapsed with a child in it. We also purchased a set of reclining chairs with ottomans which regularly lost their screws/bolts. We swept large bolts and washers up from under the chairs every time we cleaned. We were constantly replacing or tightening them. This week I purchased and picked up a rug from R&F in White Plains. When I brought it home and unrolled it, I noticed how thin and cheaply made it was. I rolled it up and rewrapped it in the original packaging. When I brought it back to the store, I was told "all sales are final". The products I purchase appeared to be extremely poor quality. Spend a little more on a quality product somewhere else!

Poor experience here. I had already bought something at Central Ave Yonkers Raymour and was referred to come here since White Plains had a floor model sample, which Yonkers didnt. I walk in with my sales slip and instantly got dirty looks from the associates up front because they already know I wont make them a sale. This became more obvious when I spoke with someone, asking them to show me where the Couch floor model was. The associate rolled their eyes at me and my mother, and someone else next to her took me to the couch. I was then asked several times what else I needed to buy, and I would not be left alone after I said that I already made my purchase and was just stopping in to look at the couch I just bought. The sales associate was annoyed with me, and I quickly walked out of the store after taking her business card. My advice is to not treat customers like this just because your not making a dollar off them at this given moment. If my experience was different, I could have been a customer at another time.

Prior to starting my own design business 10 years ago I worked in sales/design and management of higher end retail furniture for 25+ years. I cannot say enough good things about this store, and R&F product. Its not heirloom furniture (which no one wants today anyway!), but IMO R&F hits the small but very sweet spot of price, service, selection, quality and availability. I recommend this store to my decorating, even staging clients all the time, as buying something they like here is often is a better value than renting furniture. Have used them dozens of times: Recently for a pair of simple, inexpensive nightstands, vital to a photo shoot, then furnishing an entire model townhouse. It was a dicey delivery of 5 flights of narrow stairs, the guys were great. The few issues Ive had over the years were all remedied quickly, to my/my clients full satisfaction, and with a smile.

This place is the worst, definition of unethical and greed. Dont waste your time and money here. I was called three different times to confirm delivery, and all three times I took off work to be available for them to deliver. ALL THREE TIMES they never show up and worse dont let me know they are not coming. Finally almost a month after paying they show up. They promised a full delivery refund, which they promptly (2 weeks later) only refunded half and have yet to refund the full amount. Stay far away.

Today I almost decided to buy a leather chair. But the two employees I encountered were exceptional unfriendly I switched. No one knows how the management run, they rather stick to the pretentious formality and snobbish attitude than quickly serve and deal. But this is not a high end French restaurant. Here is an old timer, still not aware that we can get average alike furniture many websites elsewhere. Their only advantage is service, but I walked out unhappy.

Lots of choices but poorly made . They give you discounts as long as you buy platinum protection and pay with their finance plans. Essentially you then get no discounts and they refuse to return phone calls when there is a problem. Because we used their finance option, I couldnt dispute the charge.. best sales force but worst customer service.

This store does hire some seriously incompetent people, especially the girl at customer service center. This is a prime example of good product, but incredibly bad customer service. There is no sense of ownership for anything ranging from help with order deliveries to refunds.
