I hate being one of the only negative reviews but here you go. Found a 2007 SRT8 300c for sale at Alpine and called to make an appointment for a test drive. Mike sounded nice enough on the phone. I got there dealt with another salesman, gave the car a look up and down and it looked great. Right before the test drive Mike the owner called me into his office. He proceeded to tell me I wouldnt be able to test drive the car without sitting down and going over numbers (and quite frankly he was rather rude and abrupt about it, perhaps because he thought I was a kid looking for a joy ride, Im 27 and own 3 cars currently btw, 2 are V8s, RWD and manual, was shopping for another to daily drive, hence the 300). I told him I wanted to drive the car first before I would consider dealing with financing. He told me I couldnt drive it in simple terms. So I walked out. I was polite though and the other salesman was fine btw. Heres my take, Imagine sitting down to discuss purchasing a car without driving it? Imagine never driving this model car before but being certain you wanted to buy it? If thats the case, youre an idiot. A car can look great (which this one did), and not drive great. Ive literally never been told I cant test drive a car before. Ever. Ive been all over long island over the past 4 years and test driven EVERYTHING. Mustang GTs, GT500s, Challenger SRT8s, SS LS3 camaros, Chevy SS, charger rt, you name it. And MIKE gave me an attitude about how he "wouldnt even consider letting me drive the car off the lot" because Im well...young. haha imagine being 50 years old and considering buying that same car, you think hed have the same approach? No. Yes, its not that big of a deal at the end of the day, but I will never consider bringing my business to someone so close minded and abrupt. You need my business more than I "need" to buy your car Mike. I guess Ill have to look at one of the other "6 in the entire country". P.s. anyone considering buying that 300 should realize 20k is way over priced for a 2007 model with 47k miles. Kbb goes for 16k. 1 owner, Ill give ya 17. But 20? Hahaha :)

I purchased a vehicle from Mike around this time last year, which had a 90 day warranty. Before this warranty expired, the battery and the alternator died, even though the vehicle allegedly passed Alpines inspection. In addition, we learned that the car needed new bushings. While Mike was personable during the sales process, he was very difficult to deal with when I called to report issues with the vehicle. Because the vehicle was still under warranty, we brought it to Alpines mechanic who assured us that the alternator was fine and that they replaced both the battery and the bushings during the repair. However, less than a month later, when the warranty expired, the car died again, and the alternator was the cause. We also found that the bushings still needed to be replaced and that the AC in the car was not working (because we bought the car in the winter and the AC was blowing the temperature of the ambient air, there was no way for us to tell that it was not working at the time). Our mechanic agreed that all of this was suspicious. I love my vehicle, however what I will say is that everyone who does their due diligence deserves to know exactly what they are purchasing. We did our due diligence and were responsible purchasers, but Mike did not honor his end of the deal; if a problem is found during the warranty period, then the dealer should fully and properly repair those problems so long as they are covered, which ours were. Our experience was that Alpine just tried to get around that responsibility by telling us that things didnt need to be fixed or were being replaced when neither were true. We ended up paying out of pocket for these repairs later when we could have been putting that money toward our principal. I would not recommend Alpine Motors to anyone, and went so far as to remove the decals from my vehicle. Hopefully, others can learn from our experience.

*Updated 01/11/2016 - I just purchased my 3rd car from Mike this past weekend. I purchased my first mini cooper from him and then swapped it out for a mini cooper S a couple years later and now just swapped that out for a Jeep Cherokee Overland ... I have to say every single time has been a pleasure. Mike has always made the process simple, and honest. I have LOVED every car I have ever purchased, especially my new Jeep! I could have easily brought my business elsewhere, but honestly the service and experience Mike has is really what makes me a return client. You know what youre getting, and all the cars are extremely well kept. I highly recommend him and his team, and try to refer him as much as possible! I was shopping around for mini coopers for a couple months, and couldnt seem to find the right one with the right price and when I would, it would be off the lot in a matter of minutes. I just purchased a 2009 mini cooper from Mike this past weekend. The car has very low miles on it, and is still under Mini warranty. My first visit to Alpine was quick and brief just to look at the car, and run my credit. Mike called me back promptly and was able to work everything out within my budget and means. I was back the same day to put my down payment in and sign papers. Mike told me i could pick up the car later in the week as it needed to be detail, inspected etc... I explained to Mike I was in a time crunch and asked if I could pick up the car sooner because I would be out of town for work. Needless to say Mike got the car inspected and ready for pick up in under 24 hours of signing all the papers. I walked in at 10 am on Saturday, and by noon on Sunday had my car! I would purchase another car from Mike, and was happy with the ease of the transaction. He was prompt, personable, and all the cars on his lot seemed well kept.

Ok its been a long time coming but better late than never. I purchased a 2004 Jaguar X-Type 3.0 in May 2013. The buying process was absolutely painless and without a drop of sales pressure. Thats an A+ right off the bat. The tough thing was choosing from all the great low mileage cars available. So now my review. The condition of this beauty with only 48k miles on it was as if it were brand new inside and out (as were most all the cars I looked at that day). I have had absolutely no problems with the car and feel like I am getting into a brand new car each time I unlock the door, still after almost a year of ownership. Alpine has a customer for life! I wouldnt even hesitate to purchase from Alpine again when the time comes it will definitely be the first one I visit... and most likely the only one. Alpine is a place you must check out if you are in the market for a great vehicle. I know you wont be disappointed/ My rating would be 6 stars but Google only lets do 5 so many many thanks. Joe
