Went to this store and said to the salesman, "I need a new battery for our standby generator." "This one will be perfect for you" he said. "Just the right size for a 6kW gennie." The battery failed within a week, confirmed by the generator technician who came to service the unit. Took the battery back to Advance, they said I had voided the warranty by installing the battery in "something other than a car." Nice of the salesman to not have warned me of that in the first place... Ive been spending roughly $1,000 a year at this store for the last six or eight years buying expensive synthetic oil and other replacement parts for two Porsches and a Volvo, but Im done with that. Fortunately, AutoZone is right across the street from Advance. Oh, and the counterman said "Happy New Year" as I left, just to rub it in.

While trying to return an item the employee accused me of returning things over and over. Of the many years of buying things there this may have been the second thing Ive ever returned. That was terrible customer service and I recommend shopping somewhere else!
