THIS BEST BUY LOCATION IS GREAT!! I had multiple problems at the Best Buy in Dewitt over the past couple of weeks, but ended up going to this location instead because of all of the problems and this Best Buy was awesome! I dont know what their requirements for employment are at this place, but the employees at the Dewitt store are completely useless. A couple of weeks ago I called the store to see if they had a laptop in stock that I wanted to purchase and told them all of the detail, the person on the phone said yes, they had it and put it on hold for me. Great experience so far. I get to the store to find out that the computer she put on hold was the previous model with completely different specifications then what I had told her on the phone! I left right then and went to carousel Best Buy, where they had the right computer on hold for me and purchased it there, they were great. It was the only one that they had in stock and didnt even have a display out, so I asked them if I could just take a look at it before I purchased it. The girl at the customer service desk let me open it to check it out and I ended up purchasing it because seeing it made my decision to get it. I went back to the Dewitt store yesterday just to return office that I bought with the computer because I ended up not needing it (only went here because it was closer). The girl at customer service took the cardboard office card into the back room and then came out to say that I couldnt return it because it was open! I never touched it and it was not open when I handed the card to her!! She must have opened it when she went back. I told her to go ahead and check the code then, but she said there was no way they could do that. After fighting with her for 5 minutes, I went 30 minutes out of my way to carousel where I told them my story and they took the card and came out within 30 seconds to say that they had geek squad checking the code. Then it only took a couple of minutes for them to confirm it had in fact not been used (something that the other Best Buy was unable to do?!!) and refunded me, so I wasnt scammed out of 100 bucks. AVOID THE DEWITT BEST BUY IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!! Go to this location at Carousel Mall even if it is a little further away, it is completely worth it! I cant say how great my experience here was.

I am not writing about any one particular instance. But Ive just had it with this store. I happen to live less than a mile from this store so this is the most convenient location for me. But EVERY TIME I call this store I end up waiting AT LEAST 5-10min before i get someone answers the phone!. Most of the time they simply wont answer the phone. Just flat out refuse to! The other half, when i am lucky enough to actually speak to a real person in that store, they are never any help. I get transferred to another dept that wont answer the phone either. Or they simply have no clue whats going on and are no help. Im not one for writing reviews like this but I have had enough of it and feel it necessary to warn all others.... beware! Its not just the phone service that is bad, Try to return something say over $100. Good luck! About a year or two ago i tried to return something. They refused to to take back a stereo that was $350. After fighting they said they would but would not give me my cash back!! They said give us the radio you "should" get your money back in the form of a check in... now get this, 6 to 8 weeks!!! I even kept my cool, was calm and was professional the whole time and what do they do??? They call security and try to have me escorted out!! I tried after to bring this to the attention of the store manger but to no avail. I have even spoke with store mangers about this at other best buy stores (2 different stores. Erie Blvd and Utica) Both of them said pretty much the same thing, That they were very sorry for any inconvenience I may have had with that store. And the really funny thing about what they said, Apparently I am not the only one who has complained about that store! Also, to touch on what the previous poster has said about hi experience with an IPod. Be VERY careful about what a Best Buy salesman tells you. For people who do there homework it is well known that Best Buy uses all kinds of dirty sales tactics. One of the worst in the sales industry. They make a car salesman look bad! They well known scamers. Just Google "Best Buy scam" and see for yourself! So Buyer Beware!!! Do your homework first before buying anything from best buy.

Ive purchased 3 computers from Best Buy over the course of 3 years. I use them for book keeping, basic computing etc. Anything from keyboard failures to the motherboard frying theyve all fallen apart within months of ownership. No worries! Geek squad is there to pull your chain and completely waste our time. Everyone that works behind the counter at geek squad has a meaningless job. They in no way provide any help other than "looks like well have to ship it back to the manufacturer, itll be about 2 weeks". My last computer was supposably being worked on by the manufacturer, a month and a half later I call Best Buy. They give me some BS answer like I assume they would. They tell me to call the main geek squad service line. I call, they say call Best Buy. After being jerked around I show up and have to explain why they have awful business practice. I walked away with a new computer, I dont expect it to last long. Itll go in the trash before I deal with them again. Id rather pay more elsewhere that has a customer service staff that knows what theyre talking about. Complete trash.

This Best Buy has got to be the worst Best Buy I have ever been too, the employees are just a bunch of city trash who have no clue what they are talking about, when I asked to speak to the store manager about a simple question that a employee did not know, thats when I really lost it, the store manager Mike I believe his name was was just flat out rude and does not care about the customer he had the nerve to say "you asked to speak to me over a question like this"...followed by "I have much more important things to do than to answer such silly questions", I had every intention on buying a pretty expensive desktop and monitor around $1500 total but after my talk with the store manager I just walked out and bought one directly off the HP website.

I just bought my first car here and I cannot believe how easy james made this process for me! Ive been on the hunt for months and the selection is huge, I came up for a jeep and wound up buying a Passat that I am in love with. He was not at all pushy like most car salesmen Ive dealt with, and made the entire process comfortable and was extremely informative the whole time. I would absolutely recommend my friends family and anyone else to buy a car here! Check them out they will definitely find you something!
