I only go to stop and shop when I need a few things I cant get at Meat Farms. The cashier situation is a disaster. They dont have enough cashiers so your forced to use the automated ones which is always a problem. Some are usually not able to take cash and often something goes wrong and you have to wait for someone to come over to make that machine happy with the key card. The worst part of Stop and Shop is the meat department. If you move the chicken at the bottom of the case you will see a pool of sludgy old chicken juice. They dont clean those cases they just keep adding meat on top of that salmonella pool. I always check it just out of curiosity and its always disgusting. I even moved some chicken so the gook would be visible and a few minutes later the meat guy came along and just put the chicken back in place. There is no way he didnt see that health hazard. Im surprised that the board of health hasnt done anything. I dont buy any meats or anything that didnt come sealed by the manufacturer because if the conditions are that bad where the customer can see I cant imagine how bad things are out of our sight. Beware of Stop and Shops meats.

I only shop here because its close to my house. The prices are normally fair, but this location has a habit of leaving sale signs up so you think youre getting the sale price, but you dont. Ive also found sales that were in effect, but when the item scans at the register, the discount doesnt come off. The employees at this location are mostly nice, but Ive come across a few different rude kids too. If I had another place close to my house, Id shop there instead.

One of the only Supermarkets that carry my dogs food: Newmans Organic, canned and dry food and snacks. It is very hard to find and the price is better than ordering from a Pet Food company with their 20% coupon. Food Town also carries it but each can is $1.00 more and the bag of Dry food is $5.00 more. Excellent food for dogs with digestion problems and allergies. All profits go to charity.

as angry as I am at their service the prices were in fact low. My family and I recently went there to buy groceries and used their scanners, at the end of shopping the manager came up to my family and accused us of not scanning everything even though we did. I am quiet dissatisfied with the service, and I will be conducting my business elsewhere in the future.

This is a clean supermarket that is equipped with scanners that you can carry around with you. You scan and keep a running tally of your cost while bagging as you go. Then you can go through the self scan register already pre-bagged and be out the door in a matter of minutes. I do this all the time and it is extremely efficient.

Its Stop & Shop! Its great for groceries and those last minute Anniversary cards! The flower department is suitable and the rest of the departments are what you would expect from a regional leader in the corporate grocery game.

Stale & Shop Is More Like It at this location. I found food well past the expiration date in both the dairy and seafood department on my last trip here and some was over a month past the date! Prices are OK.

Excellent place. The prices were good, and the quality and selection were good. The store had over 26 aisles, each was longer than the aisles at a standard stop n shop. Great looking store inside and out.

Always check your receipts. A cashier at customer service named Kevin took $215 from my fiance and the store backed him on his theft. Never will I shop at this store again.
