This is a home away from home for me. In Germany this store is very common but here not, since it is much smaller then the regular size supermarket where one needs at least an hour to go through the isles and then long wait in cashiers line. One can save %50 compared to regular stores, everything is way cheaper, even dozen eggs one can get between $1.06 and $1.49, it depends, but i have never paid there $2 for dozen eggs, and in Stop & Shop they start from $3.00 i think and up. I buy almost all my food there, only fresh vegetables and fruits I find little bit expensive [and for that I go to Best Market - beware, in that market only vegetables and fruits are priced good, everything else is way too expensive]. For those who do not know, prepare $0.25 for your cart, there is a slot where you need to put it in order to unlock your cart, and when you are finished shopping and return your cart, you will get your money back. This way Aldi does not need to hire someone to collect the carts in parking lot and that allows them as well to keep the prices down. And yes, bring your own shopping bags, otherwise you will have to pay few cents, and if you do not want to, then you can take empty box and put your grocery there and then in trunk. Ecological mind all way around indeed. I recommend this store greatly, it will save you money and time.

I like this store. Agreed, you cannot do ALL your shopping here, but it is surprising how much you CAN do. I recommend putting the free ALDI app on your phone so you can the weeks offerings ahead of time. Then go there with a quarter to borrow a shopping cart and cash or debit card or EBT. (If you are lucky you get a free cart someone was too lazy to bring back and you get their quarter!) Credit cards are not accepted. You must bring your own bags or buy their bags in store. Here is an example: perfectly good 12 grain bread for $1.99 instead of $3.99. They are a boon during pricey year end holidays when gifts are bought and property taxes come due! Make your list, shop ALDI first, then go to a chain store to fill in the rest.

I dont know why this is listed as the Selden location , as it was the Aldi in Patchogue that I visited. In any case, this chain is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. The chain is a first cousin of Trader Joes, and features lots of very good private label offerings, as well as some tasty imports. Their German dairy products are outstanding - as this is a German owned company, that is understandable. You have to use a quarter to get a shopping cart, but that is part of their cost saving strategy, something that really works to your benefit when you get to the register: if you like saving money, this is the place to go. Check it out, I think you may like it.

Love Aldi. The best place for value. Its not fancy, and you might not get brand names, but youre still getting good food for excellent prices. Check out the Aldi Finds section for cool seasonal and limited time items. They have everything from toys to cookware to home decor. Yes, you have to pay for bags, but theyre cheap. Yes, you need a quarter to get a cart, but you get it back. These issues mean Aldi can keep prices low. Theyre not that much of an inconvenience. Definitely check out Aldi for the best use of your money.

There are a few Aldi locations around Port Jefferson Station/Coram, but this place opening since Shop & Stop + Walbaums + PathMart closed down in the area has been a godsend. The "structure" of the store is different than what a lot of people are used to, but you cant beat the prices and selection anywhere in the area. The quality of their brands are pretty good too. You really cant beat this place in terms of value.

Love this store, I really like that they dont use plastic bags or any bags you gotta bring your own. Which it should be like that everywhere. The prices are great, cheeper then the local grocery store. And you gotta pay .25 to rent a cart, which you get back when you return it. I thought that was pretty smart, gives people an incentive to return shopping carts instead of leaving them in the parking lot.

For what appears like a dinky market, they have a great selection of snack foods, dairy, canned goods, and produce. Many of their snackable items are made with almost completely natural ingredients and the prices here are exceptionally cheap. it doesnt have the selection or variety of a full supermarket, but Id definitely go here to stock up first.

The best Aldi location Ive ever encountered. I found this place accidentally while in search for a place to have lunch nearby. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they have a great selection of items. The aisles were clean and incredibly maintained. Makes me wish that I lived closer so that I could make this my regular shopping location.

$0.25 deposit to use a shopping cart. Bring your bags or BUY them. Lines were long with no one in the store. The floor was sticky and smelled and its brand new! Prices did not save me anything. 1st and last time in any of these stores.
