My fist time at Whole Foods in Milford was a great one! I found turkey thighs for $.49/lb! I never knew turkey meat was supposed to be that red! The chicken breast is much much darker in color than stop & shop. I'm not sure why, but it may be the same reason wild salmon is darker. Catch my drift? It just inately looks to be healthier. Yes, some things are priced more. We only got through half the store in an hour and a half spending $200, all the while guessing it would be under $160. That is a 20% difference in my head. The food far surpasses the quality in the larger stores and there is no crap on the shelves at all. So there aren't a lot of apples to apples comparisons to make. Lots of words here, but all in all a great experience. Save some money by not going out to eat or drink and take a trip to Milford or wherever. Last thing, the turkey texture was like great steak and the mixed long grain rices not only smelled fantastic, but tasted so much better than s&s comparable royal blend that I wont be going back.

Hey there, I just got back from Whole Foods and let me just say....it was not well. It all started when I woke up this morning at around 6:03 AM. I then had one egg and 3 pieces of a baby carrot. I also had a small glass of what I think was orange juice (it was a long time ago). After that I think I went to the park and while I was swinging on the swings I noticed I was slightly hungry. I drove my skateboard/scooter to my local Whole foods and could not, I repeat NO parking. After I found one I walked in and instantly tripped on the wet floor sign. After picking up a few items, I was walking out and I found that a car slightly bumped into my skateboard/scooter. After all of this I went home and found out that the eggs I bought 2 dozen eggs, not 1 dozen. So what do I do......I blogged about it. Overall I just found my experience to be very stressful and I cried a little.

Terrible veal and beef shanks!! I went yesterday to get some fresh meat for Easter. So I placed an order for 2 lbs of veal shanks and another 3 lbs of beef shanks. However, the butcher went inside to cut up some fresh meat because I told him to not choose from the ones on display (behind the glass) since some parts within those shanks are black-ish. So he went inside and brought me the "fresh" cut-up shanks. On my way home, I noticed a very odd odor in my car so I though I was passing by some unseen stinky swamp. I arrived home and started sorting my groceries, I noticed that the odor (rotten eggs like) is coming from the meat bag!!! So I drove back, 8 miles, to return this bad meat. Got refunded the full amount. Would I recommend this store when it comes to meat? NO.

Fresh Market In Disguise As a vegan Whole Foods has been a huge win for offering a wide variety of choices for all dietary needs. Especially on my many long drives it makes for a great mid-trip stop for snacks and such. This particular Whole Foods seems to just exist to cater to people who want to pay more for the privilege of paying more for food but really want regular supermarket fare. The snacks aisle was just regular chips and such with only 1 vegan option in the entire section. Even the hot bar and bakery offered zero options with the regular supermarket fare of rice, chicken wings, amd bagels and muffins. I guess they figured I could just have a salad cause thats all those people eat, right? It was a massively dissapointing waste of a detour.

Whole foods has great sales prices. Use your store APP and always buy the stores brands. I love the store made sushi, I think its well priced for the quality. I care about sustainable sourced seafood, it cost more, so that hopefully humanity will not collapse wild fish populations. Purchasing seafood from sustainable companies is a vote for a future. The bakery is nice. The produce is exceptional all year long. I spend more on their quality fruit and veggies but I save more because I waste less. I always bring a list, but the impulse buys are the most fun. The checkout lines are always fast. The prepared foods are pricey, so I do my own cooking. I love everything about whole foods.

If you are looking for sustainable sourced seafood or exceptional produce you will find it here all year long. But shop carefully or you will be hit with sticker shock. Check for sales; best buys tend to happen on the weekend. Come with a list. Eat beforehand. Purchase the store label 365 brand whenever possible. If you use the Whole Foods app check your receipt to make sure all the coupons have been applied to your purchases; this does not always happen. This store and its restrooms are always neat and clean. The manager makes sure the checkout lines don’t get too long. The prepared foods are amazing but really pricey.

Incredibly poor management, in fact you cant find a manager they are called team leaders and their job is simply to pacify you. Their hot food items never change it is the same day after day week after week month after month, when you complain they will tell you oh no we change our items and will point out that they may have changed one or two items in the last 6 weeks to four months. Fact is the only thing they change are the labels on the food items and nine times out of ten the labels are incorrect. I am thoroughly disgusted with this store and I will not return

I absolutely love Whole Foods. The store is clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the food bar is NOT on point. It is not flavorful. The only food I can tolerate is the soups. NOW, the Whole Foods in Charlotte, NC has the BEST food bar you can imagine. The food is healthy and tastey. I love the food bar there. I think the chefs in CT should consult with the chefs in NC regarding the recipes and techniques they use. CT please, please please find out what they are doing in NC and you will find your sales will increase.

Good prepared food and bakery. Lots of selection. Often high prices, but they are not a discount store, so dont go in there with false expectations. La Marzocca espresso machines...very nice...the way Starbucks used to be before their coffee theater act started. One downside, as a working professional, their wifi is slow, as in dial up slow. Ill often just tether my laptop to my phone cuz its faster...they should remedy this.

People who believe organic food is nutritionally superior to non-organic food, are wrong...plain and simple. Thousands of scientific studies have already concluded this. In any case, the food bar is great a breakfast time, although the scrambled eggs leave a bit to be desired. The bacon strips are incredible.

Very high quality stuff. Be careful on prices, some items are actually very well priced as far as non-junk food goes. Meat and produce is pricey, but usually good quality. Seafood is both impressive and expensive. Theres not a whole lot of other quality grocery choices in the area.
