I can always count on Crackerbarrel to have excellent breakfast food, and this one did not disappoint. In fact it seemed even tastier than usual. Not sure if they just happen to have better cooks, fresher ingredients, or I was just hungry but never had French toast tasted so good. The reason why I give them a 4 and not a 5 is more because of the store and the prices. The food is just a teensy high priced but so good, probably worth it. The store items are fairly high and whats worse, and I find this to be true at all the Crackerbarrels that I have been to - WI, KY, IN and now NY is that the floor sales people are just obnoxious. You cant get from one side of the store to the other without being bombarded with 5 or 6 sales people. All of them apparently happen to like the very thing you are holding in your hand and tells you why its great. Woman holding a flat straw purse, salesclerk who doesnt look the type says isnt that purse great? And its so roomy on the inside. Im holding a bag of lemondrops and the clerk zooming by tells me, Oh, they are his favorite, I should try the watermelon, too. I hate watermelon. Why cant all these annoying pesky people who jump in where they are not wanted and go wait on tables? The lines are awful long tonight...

I usually enjoy my experience here but today changed my mind about returning. Not only did we wait 30 minutes for bread and have dirty utensils that still had food on them brought to us 3 time but when the waitress finally bought the bread it was harder than a rock and the bowl that holds the butter had a used open butter packet. Then when our food arrived, my daughters mashed potatoes were burned and dried out. When the manager came over he offered no real apology but instead said they make a lot of food and didnt see what the issue was. Not to mention he stated that he doesnt know why the utensils were dirty because they have state of the art machines. Again no apology nor did he check on us. Right as we were leaving is when he offered us a dessert. Sad to say I will not visit this location again.

There is no way to say enough the food was bland. Nothing that I or my companions had involved any flavor. From the special of the day chicken fried chicken which was dry even when drenched in sausage gravy which only tasted like flour and liquid smoke. The cake that was equally bland, or the beef whose only small amount flavor came from the gravy that covered it and none from the meat itself. We are not sure anything was seasoned and the most interesting thing about the food was the textures. No one should eat there unless your in the twilight years of your life and your taste-buds no longer function. The only small saving grace was the biscuits are good. Not the corn muffins that didnt even taste like corn, but the biscuits.

My 9 year old wanted to go to Cracker Barrel yesterday while we were in Henrietta for her birthday. The service was really poor. We came for a late lunch (around 3pm) so it wasnt busy. The waitress brought drinks, came back with the food and the check at the same time. We didnt see her after that. I had to grab her from another table because my daughter wanted dessert and we needed refills. I asked her if she could put a candle or something in it for her and she just shut me down with a flat NO! We asked for 3 refills which we never received, so we just left. When your kids (11 & 9) notice that "this waitress is not very good" as a parent what can you say?!? Needless to say, I was VERY disappointed.

The service was excellent. We had a great waiter named Mike and he was so attentive and so efficient. I ordered the turkey dinner and probably would not order it again. The turkey was white meat that tasted kind of like deli meat that have been reheated with very little gravy. The dressing had perhaps too much poultry seasoning! However, the pinto beans were very good with the Tabasco vinegar and of course, the cornbread muffins were delightful. Mike made a fresh pot of coffee so I topped off my meal with a delicious cup of coffee with cream and the very exquisite chocolate cake which I boxed up and took home to nibble on throughout the rest of the week.

Yum. Comfort food. My family used to go to Cracker Barrel during road trips to Florida from NY. Now that Im older, and I was on a road trip from Toronto to NY, I had to stop at a Cracker Barrel for old times sake. Its partly the nostalgia, but I enjoyed my time here, for the most part. I got the fried chicken cutlet, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and broccoli (just to balance out the guilt). It was so much food for the price, and it was filling. Minus a star for the staff being more than a little weird when I asked them to sing my friend happy birthday. Hah. Oh well.

We were a regular patron at this restaurant until tonight. I usually order the hamburger steak with steak fries. The hamburger steak was okay, but they have now changed their steak fries to a seasoned or coated french fry (We were never told of this change). These fries taste like plastic and have a weird taste. The cornbread that was served with the meal was hard and cold. When we asked to talk to the manager, he/she never showed up. We will no longer eat at this restaurant as the food was not very edible anymore.

Overpriced, but the food wasnt bad and the place was massively packed. Luckily it didnt take long to get seating and there was the store to browse while we waited. They had a lot of cool stuff. As someone whos been living in Florida the past couple years, seeing the stereotypical shells and sand gift shop merchandise made me gag... But its to be expected everywhere I suppose. Lots of cool nic-nacs, toys, clothes, candy and things you may or may not need.

The food is amazing, biscuits still not better than Kentucky Fried Chicken, and the service could have been a little bit better. However the food is good it was a little bit too much meat in my turnip greens though. But Ill still conclude that this is a recommended place to eat. I ordered the chicken and Dumplins and it was good I also had the catfish which is also very good.

I really really enjoyed my dinner at Cracker Barrel with my children and grandchildren. Our waitress was great even though they forgot one of the meals ordered for my granddaughter it was okay because everything else was great. One of the best Fish Frys I have ever had and prices were great as well. Really a must try!!!!!!!!

Food was excellent except for the sausages. For some reason they were pink on the outside and in. I believe the waitress said that it was because of the "dye"? So I had the switch me to turkey sausage. Probably should be careful about serving pink or undercooked pork.
