Initial Experience Wonderful... But.... I purchased a sofa set and a set of end tables with coffee table. I felt the price was in line with what I expected. After receiving the items, I noticed two things. A rip in the sofa and a coffee table that the top opened and closed very stiff (not normal). They sent a repair man out to fix the rip in the sofa. The job was terrible to say the least. My wife and I were very displeased. They did make good on it and sent a replacement sofa. The coffee table hinge ended up breaking after a couple of months of minimal use. Open and closed less than a dozen times before it broke. They sent new hinges for the repair. Being a handy man myself, I felt I could just screw in the new hinges myself. Guess what? Something was not right. I could not get them put on. In order for me to put them on, I would have had to bend them or put a block of wood inside the coffee table to get the hinges to work right. Finally after a couple months of just not putting them on and calling Ashley to have them send a repair person out to do it. The repair person came and went (I was not there, my daughter in law was) He told her it was fixed and she didnt know any better :(. But when I examined it when I got home, it was NOT fixed. Only one hinge was put on instead of two AND he had to bend it to get it to work. It does not work freely, it scrapes the inside of the coffee table. So it is NOT the way it should be. Calling Ashley back, they say the warranty period is up (for a replacement table), BUT they can send more hinges out. What a joke... The problem is still there that more hinges will not fix. So, now I have to wait 3 to 4 weeks for the hinges. THEN I can call once I get the hinges for a service person to come out and try AGAIN to repair it. I realize not that if a repair man comes to your home, be present instead of having a proxy. I will be displeased with the outcome unless I get a replacement coffee table !

I would like to compliment a few of your employees at u our Ashley Furniture Store at the Greece Location. I have been dealing with them for years now and couldnt be more happier and prouder of the service I get from them. I would like to acknowledge a few people who has gone above and beyond the way to help me with anything that I need or any questions that I might have. They are always so friendly, smiling, and courtesy. The general manager Anthony Owens there are not enough words to describe what a marvelous gentleman he is and how he makes every one always feels so welcome when you walk in. Plus he goes way out of his way to talk to you about your problems even if it didnt relate to Ashley Furniture. Anthony had took the time to listen to me with a personal issue that I was having and made me feel better. My salesman Luke was very responsible and respectful as he knew his stuff. Luke didnt push me into something that I didnt want to buy. He had patients with me and it takes alot of that for someone to have. He gave me his ideas and walked with me thru out the store to give me different ideas. Always had a smile on his face. Amanda M, Melissa C at the Customer Service desk are absolutely amazing people. I have never seen more friendlier people then them 2. Always smiling, go above and beyond the call of duty, has a heart of gold on them,sweet, kind, considerate and kind. I cant say enough about the crew at the Ashley Homestead Greece NY. I meet Shane the District Manager and had talked with him. He was very friendly, kind, considerate, sweet and took the time to listen. Shane was also respectful. Thank you for reading this. Cindy Evans P.S. My Fiance and I went and bought our first furniture set together. We went looked at quite a few other stores where we were treated very poorly. Everyone must have assumed that being in our mid 20s we were a waste of theyre breath. When we walked into Ashleys, we were greeted instantly by very friendly staff. The salesman walked around the entire store and quoted us every single bedroom set we were interested in (which ended up being almost all of them haha). While we were looking at a bedroom set we also were looking for a new mattress, and they price matched and beat all the competitors in the area. In the end, we did have to wait a few weeks for delivery, which I was completely okay with as they were so nice in the store and were actually willing to work with us. After delivery, I declined an item as it had had a scratch in it. I contacted the Ashleys store in person to get it all sorted out and they were able to get me a new item in 2 weeks. In the end it did take longer to receive all my furniture unlike other places that guarantee delivery in 2 days, but those places the people are not nice and ONLY care about the quick sale where Ashleys we felt welcomed, especially being fairly young, and they helped us through the entire process until the end. Now we have our dream bedroom set with an amazing mattress and now we have the store we will be shopping at in the future for everything else. I highly suggest shopping here! I also have a few friends and family who have shopped here and have all had excellent experiences as well.

OVERPRICED. They told me that they would price match any store (including online ones) as long as the other store shipped to the Rochester area. So I found a sofa and coffee table I liked in the Ashley showroom, went and did some research, and came back totally ready to buy them as long as Ashley matched the price I had found (on a reputable website). The Ashley manager looked up the sofa on the website and then decided not to match the price. Instead, they made an offer that was over $200 higher than the competing one. (Plus the coffee table was overpriced by $150, but I didnt ask them to match that... I was on my way out the door before we got to that point.) NO LOCAL WAREHOUSE. You have to wait a couple of weeks for shipping for anything you buy from them. I have no problem with this business model, but their prices are even more ridiculous when you take this into account. Theres nothing more convenient about getting something from them compared to buying it online. Summary: There seems to be a disconnect between what the sales people initially offer you, and what the managers will actually do. What a waste of time. I guess you could go to Ashley just to find something you like, but dont order it from them. You will probably be losing hundreds of dollars per item if you do.
