Im a casual gamer, but when I saw a "Buy 2 pre-owned games and get 1 free" deal over the holidays, I couldnt resist. I was very happy with my purchase, I had gotten three games I have wanted for a very long time. About a month later, my happiness has turned into anger. I had realized that one my games, Red Dead Redemption, is either defective or just incompatible with the older PS3 models. I would have detected this problem earlier, but like I said, Im casual game with full time job, so its impossible for me to play and beat three video games in under a month. I just beat one game today,and moved on to the defective Redemption.I figured that I could just either return for another copy or just get store credit. This is where it all goes to hell; I went to this Lake Success store, and explained my situation to an unsympathetic, uncaring, and rude employee. At first he was going to exchange it for another copy, but after a few minutes of him fumbling around in a draw, he said he didnt have it. I explained to him that theyre may be a problem playing this game on older PS3 versions, as many people have written about it on the internet, but he didnt want to hear it. I asked for store credit , and he told me he could only give me $4 for its trade-in value. I asked to speak with the store manager, and to his delight, he puffed out his chest, and said "I am the manager".Fed-up at this point, I asked for my game back, told him I would never buy anything here again, and walked away. As I was walking out, he said sarcastically "have a nice day!" When I got home, I called the GameStop customer services to get more information and file a complaint about the "manager" at the store. I was told that my only real option is to go store to store, explain my situation over & over again, and see if I can exchange the game or get some store credit. Anyway, Im expecting a call from the regional manager about my complaint, whether or not he calls, I dont know; but I what I do know is that I will never buy anything from GameStop again because of incidents like this and their so called "sales", which are easily outdone by other reputable businesses. No wonder I saw news article over the holidays stating GameStop as having one of the worst return policy.

Well i must say that i was very happy walking out of this place. I received great customer service and was happy with the interest they showed in helping me save money!! Who doesnt like to save money? Alex and Vishal are really awesome and i am happy i walked in that day. I was looking for some accessories for my WII and Vishal went out of his way to find all the equipment i needed to play my game. I saved a lot money and i will be returning! Thanks guys!!

As a former GameStop employee years ago, I know it can be tough to keep that smile on your face after answering the same 5 questions that week. That said, it makes me really happy that there are still amazing GameStop stores out there and this one is no exception. The staff is super helpful and friendly, and the store is very clean too. Good job, guys!

They have a great selection of games and always a diverse selection of other stuff too. Ive been coming here since I was a kid and I love the selection they have. Definitely come by if youre in the area and looking For a game. They have ps2 and GBA games as well for the retro gamer.

Sold me a used game as new, i didnt check the bag till i got home, the game was not wrapped and the disc had a smudge so i could tell it was not new, and i explicitly asked for a new one, otherwise no complaints.

I dont know much about gaming systems but the staff there is great when i go in with my kids and ask a bunch of questions. They are knowledgeable and helpful.
