Worst shopping experience of my life! manager (I use that term loosely) Denise, needs to b replaced! She calls me at my home, after hearing of a complaint I made, and tells me to find her next time I go to the store so she can discount me of my next purchase. when I go, I ask for her, they call her on the radio, explain to her who I was, and she never shows up, and tells another (normal) employee to handle me. I walked out without my promised discount, felt ignored, and I drove 24 miles to get there...Never again! Monticello walmart needs a makeover! Let me be one of the new employees, now that Im totally aware of the reason for so many complaints! And its not just Denise...I dont know others names who I watch on their phone, while I play confused and lost right in front ofem...they simply just walk the other way, cursing on their phone about stupidity! Its also sad to see that the complaint responders are the same employed by the exact walmart the complaint was filed towards in the 1st place! pleez! Thats place looks like a hangout in the Bronx that I used to go to, that got closed down, for the exact reasons this walmart is ridin on! Yall need help, serious help! Its chaos in that store! Cell phones should no longer be aloud to be used, while on the clock! There should (at all times) be someone with maintenance experience sweeping and mopping that place! I never see any, dusting, stacking, sweeping, or mopping...unless theres a spill complaint! (oh, there goes that word again!) There are a lot of shoppers that go there out of a lack of choice! Thats actually why the problem lies...

From September through May this place is a good Walmart and I would give 4 stars maybe even 5 ...eh...probably 5. But they always forget somehow that summer comes, almost the same time every year... well actually the exact same time every year and with the summer comes tens of thousands of people up to the country where they desend on Walmart like a pack of starving wolves....in long black coats and black hats. But by mid June the store is struggling to keep up....its not the shelves, those are more or less stocked as well as anything can be when 30 ppl are reaching for the same item every minute. BUT....they never ever ever ever in all my years have enough registers going so you dont have to wait 30 minutes + online to check out. And no its not like they have 10 cashiers and the supply is just overwhelming them, no, they always have 3 or 4 and those self checkout lanes that seem like they might work and dont. So for that Walmart you get two stars. Come on! I have been here 12 years....the summer happens every year.

This vision center management is the absolute worst. The manager, Alice could not have been less helpful. She insinuated I wasnt grateful for my employee insurance and even made political commentary regarding health care in the United States. I did not ask nor am I concerned with her political leanings. Its unimaginable to me that a manager of a vision center would share her opinion, unsolicited, about anything other than products associated with her service to the store. I was embarrassed for her unprofessional and inappropriate behavior. As she was talking a loudly, she was waving her long, multi-colored fingernails in a threatening manner. I asked to speak with her supervisor and as of yet, have been unable to make contact. Dont go here, it isnt worth the verbal abuse. On top of everything else, Alice is now insinuating that I did not pay my bill. This place is fraudulent.

Produce and vegetables have poor selection and are covered in flying insects; not a good selection of housewares, music CDs, movie DVDs and Blu-ray discs, poor selection of womens and childrens clothing, pharmacy doesnt carry a broad selection of prescription drugs, both controlled substances and regular prescription medications; poorly staffed and a majority of the staff that does work there is poorly educated, unfriendly and not very helpful. Tire center staff is terrible, very impolite, dont carry many size tires, always find something wrong with breaks, tire studs or cant seem to get the lug nuts off so they can change the tires. Reasonable to cheap prices. Able to order on line and have items delivered to the store for pick up. Restroom have handicap access but are EXTREMELY filthy.

They are slow to restock out of stock items. Could take weeks to get something back in. They also never have enough lines open, especially when its busy. Good luck getting help with the site to store desk. Every time I order site to store I have to wait 20 minutes for someone to finally answer the call or ask if I need help. Meanwhile, the entire time Im being passed by employees doing their obvious best to avoid eye contact with me. I would rather pay extra for shipping to my house now. Their prices arent better than the Aldis or ShopRite down the street either. ShopRite will at least open up new lines if they get too long, and the employees at least know where things are if you cant find something. I avoid this cesspool at all costs

Good for quick stops. They never seem to have enough lines open during the "busy" times. Cant really say anything bad about any of the employees. Only one really bad time to go which is Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings during the summer months. They get a visiting summer clientele of people in long black coats and hats that come up from the city and make a mess of the place, shove you, have poor hygiene, think that they are the chosen ones and above the law. In general they have no manners towards the people who live there year round. But it is not Walmarts fault. They do try their best. Best time to go during summer months is on Friday evening and Saturday early in the day .
