Normally I would never bother to write a review... if I had a bad experience I would just suck it up and move on... but enough is enough with this place already! I moved into the area about 6 years ago and this is my local Home Depot. When we first came to the area we purchased a home that was a fixer upper, so I have been a frequent flyer at Home Depot since we got here. In the beginning this store was fantastic.. the staff and the mangers very helpful and knowledgeable... I cant say that anymore... no no matter what time you go there its hard to find staff and when you do they are at best unknowlegeable and more ofter then not rude and occasionally nasty. No matter what time or which department im shopping in there are always huge piles of product or latters, fixtures or carts blocking items that I need to purchase... and thats if I can get in the aisle because half of the time it is closed off so that forklifts can move pallets around (shouldnt this be done after closing and not when people are shopping?) As I have said I have gone there many times and I usually help myself or fiqure it out myself... but there are certain times when help is needed especially in trades areas (plumbing and electrical) where a layperson can get lost or needs professional advice... its not happening in the place and it gets worse everytime I go... today was tge icing on the cake... had to go twice; in the morning no one of knowledge was working in plumbing just people stocking shelves that told me they knew less about the products they me... the second trip was in the afternoon when the (manager) was there and when I approached to ask a question he told me to hurry up with full gesturing because he was busy and had to go do something. I was bothering him with a question about a product or item to buy from his department after spending 10s of thousands of dollars in his store on my home renovation projects in the last 5 years... Amazing! A new Loews is under construction in the area.. I cant wait I will be shopping there from now on... its what this place needed and deserves.. Competition of which till soon there hasnt been any... when they see how many of their regular customers goto Loews and their sales drop then and only then will they do something to fix their problems... but its too late for me even if they do, I will be an avid Loews shopper. I hate to complain but this has been building in me for years and had to be said. Hope this helps someone else.

If you can order online (from Amazon or Home Depot), I would. There is a good selection of home improvement items in store, though not great. The prices are good, but WalMart beats them on the things that WalMart carries (example: hammers, curtain rods and storage items). But if you need a bit or bob quickly and dont want to wait, its a fine place to go. My main issue with this store is that it is so difficult to find help. You typically go in looking for a specific item. Each of the three times I have gone, I tracked down someone (who, to their credit, was always plenty friendly). They promptly direct you with an air of confidence to the wrong aisle. So then you track someone else down and it turns out that you were close, but not quite right. I wanted to buy a drill one time and after asking one person ("not my department") and waiting 10 minutes, I gave up and just ordered online.

Horrible store. I go to buy exterior deck stain that I have bought in the past. Since I have bought it before I knew which base I need. I grabbed 2 1 gallon cans in the appropriate base for the Behr PREMIUM stain. Gave it to the paint sales associate to mix the appropriate color for me. I wait about 20 minutes for him to hand me 2 cans of the regular paint stain not the premium which I wanted. He then tells me that is what the machine told him to use. Seriously? Why would the sales associate not inform me before mixing this paint. I have bought it before in premium with the exact color I wanted. I also asked a question about the Behr wood cleaner and the guy had no clue. Think I may go to sherwin williams instead.

I just want to give a big THANK YOU and great "review" to two workers I recently had awesome customer service from in the Mohegan Lake E Main Street (Towne Center) NY store. Joe and Jaime were so nice and helpful in getting me everything I needed for my boyfriends birthday gift ---a Weber Spirit 210 grill. They looked all over the store for it and personally brought it to my car, and helped load the pieces into my small Corolla (since it wouldnt fit being inside the box), on oversight on my part ... all with a great attitude and smiles. I really appreciated their help, couldnt have done it without them

Joe Smith in the Garden Department is FANTASTIC! He helped us not only choose and buy a great snow blower; but he put it together for us. He too A LOT of time explaining the various options - sizes, manufacturers, quality of construction, customer feedback - and even showed us how to operate the one we chose. When we had a problem using our foreign VISA card for payment, he got on the phone to Home Depot Customer Service for us and walked us through the process - AND got us 10% off the purchase price for our trouble. Fantastic customer service that was very much appreciated.

Staff is very nice and willing to offer their help, usually almost immediately upon arrival. They are well staffed so that adds to the helpfulness I am not always impressed with their selection of items, but it is a smaller sized Home Depot, so that must be kept in mind. They usually do have enough of each item in stock that they do have. During the warmer months it would be nice if they had a larger selection of plants, but what they have suffices.

This Home Depot is the closest one to my house, so I go here quite a bit. Ive had great customer service here more times then Ive had bad. I sometimes have a hard time finding things here as the aisles arent well marked (ie: plumbing supplies were in the ducts and vents aisle and not in the aisle marked plumbing, the ladder I was looking for wasnt in the aisle marked for ladders).

This is my go-to Home Depot even though it is a little farther than the one in Hawthorne. They always have what I need in stock and the pros are very helpful in answering questions specific to projects Im working on. I also find they have a larger selection and inventory than the Home Depot in Hawthorne.

The Home Depot at this location always has what I need. The key is to get in and get out (I know what I need when I go in and like to go to the self check out). The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. The layout of the store is convenient and well planned as well.
