My wife and I are new homeowners and when we were searching for our new home, it was important to us to find a place without a newly remodeled kitchen. We didnt want to pay the price for someones upgrade that wasnt going to fit our taste anyway. Well upon purchasing our home we got a kitchen that was in desperate need to revival. And I mean desperate. Wanting to save money and do it ourselves, we did a lot of planning and research. The task really started to look daunting for awhile there. I brought up the idea on numerous occasions that we might be biting off more than we could chew. Ultimately, when we found The RTA Store, things started to look up. Browsing the options they have incredible high end cabinets and accessories that we couldnt find anywhere else for the price. We quickly did the math and realized that we could take on this project ourselves, working with The RTA Store, for a better price than we could find from someone even like Home Depot. For the price of the high end cabinet styles, we would have looked at a step above builders grade cabinets from Home Depot. They of course have the nice bonus of contractors who can install the projects for you, but if you have ever been down that road with Home Depot once, more often than not you are never going to want to go down it again. Not only were we taking advantage of reasonable prices, we had the privilege to work with superior staff all throughout. The designers were very skilled and worked with us meticulously to help us design what will work best within our given space and helped us come up with beautiful ideas that we never would have thought of on our own! What felt even more special was the involvement we saw from the Ackermans (the owners). They showed that no matter how big or small your order is, your patronage is valued to them. Our cabinets were shipped to us faster than we were expecting. The RTA Store used a quality shipping service who even helped us move our two pallets of cabinets into our garage. The last time i ordered something from Home Depot, the driver refused to even move our items to the back of his truck. He claimed that his job description only states that he has to drive deliverables from point A to point B and open the door. We are decently handy people, but have never assembled a kitchen before. What we found to be very helpful was that we could easily find YouTube videos that were specifically produced for RTA Store products, as well as instructions that were included with each cabinet. What was also a life saver is that each cabinet came with spare parts (screws brackets, etc). I dont know if you have purchased something from Home Depot, Ikea, Etc before to find out you are short 1-3 screws, but it is such a defeating moment when you are two steps from being done. We definitely did not have that problem. In fact, we were able to complete our entire install in just a weekend. I wouldnt say that there werent times that we both wanted to scream at inanimate objets, but the whole process was sooooo much easier than it could have been if we went a different route. We are very thankful for that. I would highly recommend that anyone looking to do a remodel for your kitchen, whether it is on your own or even looking for a contractor to install your cabinets. Shop for your products on The RTA Store. We couldnt be happier, and we have our eyes on a new vanity next! Ha!

This is by far the worst company Ive ever dealt with. The customer service is abhorrent. Three days after I placed my order, I received an email stating that multiple items were back ordered, and was given an estimated completion date for said items. Mind you, the website stated that orders should be fulfilled within 5-15 business days. Unfortunately, the back ordered items were subsequently delayed two more times. On three separate occasions, I told RTA that I didnt want the order to ship until all items were complete. I finally got a call to schedule delivery from the shipping contractor. Lo and behold, upon receipt of the delivery, the order was still incomplete. Additionally, most of the items had some form of damage, mostly bludgeoned corners. I ensured that the driver noted the missing cabinet and damaged items on the delivery receipt, then called RTA. After waiting two months for cabinets that should have been in my possession over a month ago, I was told I could file a claim. Basically, I could file a claim to recover damages and missing items that took 2 months to receive. By that math, I would be waiting another 2 months after the dispute resolution between RTA and the shipping contractor. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. What was most infuriating was that during every interaction I had with the company, they pushed the blame to the manufacturer, customs, ports, the shipping contractor, and then me. They took absolutely no responsibility in the fact that they accepted a large amount of money from me, and in turn produced a garbage product without a hint of punctuality or accountability. Rant summarized: DO NOT ORDER CABINETS OR OTHERWISE FROM THIS COMPANY.

Not for perfectionists! I purchased the "Newport White" cabinets. Overall the cabinets look okay, but I feel like you do get what you pay for. Our cabinets look good from a distance, but when you get close there are definitely flaws. I had a trim carpenter install the cabinets (hes worked on many 1 million + homes, but is a family friend and agreed to help us). The paint on the edges of the doors/frames easily chips, and the corners have worn quickly (installed in February 2017). The other issue is that the paint on the sides of the frame of the cabinets is thin and almost transparent which looks terrible up close. DO NOT bother buying any pre-pained trim or bead board. From one piece to another the paint doesnt look exactly the same and the paint is chipping and poorly sprayed onto the wood. Also do NOT order unless you plan on putting the cabinets together within 5 days of delivery, even if theres a sale- not worth it. I opened all the boxes and scanned the doors, but had I closely inspected some of the frames I would have sent them back because on the sides the paint looks thin and worn (and this was straight out of the box!). If you are outside of this 5 day window dont even bother contacting them, they wont help, I tried. I did pay for the "platinum warranty" so I am going to see if some of my paint/door issues are covered, but Im afraid Ill get the run around like I did when I was outside of the 5 day window.

designers were great. easy to work with and awesome... after they took my money though it was an awful experience. back orders delayed multiple times. didnt receive my order for almost 2 months. then when we got them they were damaged really badly. I was told I had to accept them and go through each piece and they would only replace the individual pieces damaged... 4 pallets and many boxes of parts. All while my kitchen is torn apart for a remodel waiting on my cabinets. Lots of my time wasted and I dont even know if all the parts were in boxes because they were torn open and damaged so badly. instead of being able to refuse the shipment and have them send me a whole new order I was told "its not our fault, it didnt leave the warehouse like that" " you have to tell us exactly each piece damaged and it has to be within the next 5 days. just poor customer service and bad logistics. Very bad experience with this company. I even have emailed and asked for a rep to come and help, or a discount or even my money back... but they got their money and now me, as a customer, is left to pick up the pieces and try to put my kitchen together.
