How am I the first to review this absolute treasure in WNY? Ive lived in Marilla for 33 years, and I have known the Marilla Country Store since it was the Marilla GENERAL store. Locals will still refer to it as the General, but it is much changed since my childhood. After purchase many years ago, the store changed from a dry goods and grocers into a sort of wonderland of Americana and knick knacks. This is not a bad thing, as it has allowed the family running it to expand and brighten the store. Other than the post office, this business not takes up the entire building it is housed in. There is a local museum upstairs, an expansive candy selection with local favorites, an unbeatable selection of pickled items, a great freezer section, deli counter, ice cream shop, sandwich shop, and many locally made treats all around. My favorite part of the whole mess, however, is the perfectly stocked, clean and neat bulk food section near the back of the store. The prices are INCREDIBLE, which means a lot to the locals. Im no writer, so Ill end my little review here. Id give 6 stars out of 5 if I could. Go there, you will not be disappointed.

Will not go there again, I purchased $80 in Christmas gifts during a special and received $8 in bonus bucks good for 6 months. I miss placed them and found them 2 days ago. I went there and asked if I can still use them, and the answer was No. I found them on May 17th, they expired on May 7. Since it was only 10 days later I thought they would allow it. But, No. I will not go back there again, to me thats just bad business!!!!

Coolest general store you will find around here; one of the oldest in WNY. They have just about anything you can think of, or wouldnt think of while surfing on Amazon or Ebay. Similar to Viddlers, but smaller. Old-fashioned candy, ice cream, toys, vintage signs, anything local you can imagine, and a great folk art decor area upstairs. Check it out on your next trip through the country.

I couldnt believe there was SO much to offer in this place!! From the candy I havent seen since I was a kid to all the gifts and furniture upstairs. I spent well over an hour just looking at everything. Dont let the small storefront fool you...this place has everything!

Wow...what a place...its at least 160 yrs old and u can tell by the smell of it...which means its a good smell...local artist have stuff to sell in there for a good price...fresh candy....BBQ sauce thats yummy...teas...pickled stuff...great place

Awesome little country variety store with all sorts of products. Section ranges from bulk foods to heirloom Amish furniture. Prices seem a bit steep but its worth it to support a local business that has been there for over 100 years.
