As of Feb. 1 I was fortunate to assume a new life title, "retired." After living in Lake Placid for 13 years I finally began to frequent our local Starbucks. Staff is very pleasant, patient, and very helpful. Any question I asked, they had the answer. Never been disappointed with any of their suggestions! It has become a weekly hangout and provides an awesome environment for reading, laptops, cell phones, and of course a " Great Cup of Coffee ! "

Two knocks against this Starbucks. First, the employees were incredibly loud and chatty. All we wanted to do was sit in their comfortable chairs and read our books, but the incessant chit-chat made that very difficult. Second, they gave attitude to someone to someone that came in to use the restroom. I think everybody knows that Starbucks is Americas national public restroom.

We love our Starbucks, so after rolling into town we sought them out for a quick refresh. Let me say the staff was super friendly and fast but WOW the disappointment from the facility. This place was really dirty from restroom to coffee bar it was a mess. Sugar, cream, and coffee everywhere, just not the standard one would expect.

Ordered a flat white a month ago and it was great. Ordered two, one for a friend and one for me, recently and we received awful warm milk in a cup that didnt even resemble a latte, let alone a flat white. Both cups tasted like milk warmed in a microwave. The same barista prepared all three drinks.

The floors were full of trash and needed cleaned. Tiles missing around the base board. Bathrooms were nasty. Service was OK and the Drink was good. Other than that, people here need some lessons on cleaning. Sorry Starbucks
