2013-11-07 (Thu) 12nn I heard a lot of good things about Rook coffee such that once I was Im the vicinity of Long Branch, I decided to look for the coffee shop. As a new customer dropping in for the first time, I dont feel welcomed. Associates are so harried; I feel hurried, faces unwelcoming, unsmiling. My open smiling face was responded w a quick perfunctory smile. The store space is so confined, voices and coffee grinders echoing against the wall that the cashier and I could hardly hear each other. So, my initial impression could have been influenced by the very setup of the store itself. I bought 2 bottles of cold brews - traditional style and New Orleans, and a large hot brewed Bali. Bali is OK. Will update review after I tried the colds brew.

We passed by this place so many times on our way over to the beach, always saying how we should stop. About a month ago we stopped for the first time. My mom got a small Columbian coffee and I got the more mild Costa Rica coffee also a small. First of all the small is closer to most other places medium. The prices are very reasonable, the staff was so helpful and super friendly. The coffee is amazing. Its delicious, smooth, and not bitter at all. Weve been back a few times now. We also purchased both the Columbian and Costa Rica coffees to make at home. We absolutely love this coffee!!!

Always HORRIBLE service. When ever you walk in there, they automatically assume You know what you want.. They dont have respect for people, and if You try to look at the small menu they have at the counter, they PRESSURE You into ordering fast,,, this has happened 5 times the past 5 times Ive been there. If You are an out of towner, STAY AWAY .. Its just typical Jersey trash working there, who are rude ARROGANT people, and it will put You in a bad mood, and RUIN your day

I visit Rook Roasters in Long Branch almost everyday. I found it as a result of a road being closed and it being impossible to get to an unnamed large coffee and donut chain where I had been getting my coffee. My experience has been that I have found the greatest cup of coffee I have ever had, served to me by sincere and friendly people, every single time Im in. I recommend Rook Roasters to everyone I can.

Great music which isnt Hipster pitchfork stereogum bulls***. Minimalist decor. Very nice helpful intelligent staff without being flair wearing obnoxious. Seem friendly with one another which is great. Nice selection of coffees. Not as expensive as I thought it would be. Would definitely come back.

I absolutely LOVE Rook. Every location serves the most delicious coffee and the service is wonderfully welcoming and helpful. The Town Pointe location is my favorite and their employees are incredible. I hate having to get my coffee anywhere other than Rook.

Best cold brew in town. Their hot coffee (single drip or regular) is also a standout. Besides their coffee they have a nice, smallish, selection of bagels with spreads and pastries. If youre nearby stop in, you will not be dissapointed.

A coffee place that features many eclectic coffees. I had the Costa Rican and my friend ordered the Nicuaragan. Coffee ranges from mild to strong and even the small cup is a generous serving.

Great staff. But no signs of how to proceed if you are newbie at the store. Order and get it before paying. No one will tell you even if you look confuse being the only person in the store!
