To the IDIOT in Home Depot who had his MASSIVE GERMAN SHEPARD off leash, with NO collar on greeting customers at the doors, I hope you get ticketed, New York has a leash law for all pets. I ran into Home Depot this morning with my dog, on the way to her Vet appointment. We were picking up an online order at the customer service desk. Everyone knows my dog is animal aggressive. So because of that not only did I have her harnessed, but I also had her collar on, I had her DOUBLE tethered to me. I grabbed a cart and as soon as the doors opened this massive Shepard was in our faces, the Shepard was touching noses with my dog. I pinned my dog against the open electronic door and used the cart as a barricade between us and the Shepard. I was softly yelling at the owner "My dog is animal aggressive". I repeated myself 2 times. He finally sauntered over and snapped his fingers for this dog, and did not even acknowledge me or apologize. They (Owner and dog) walked back over to the display to chat with the employees about 30 feet away. I walked to the returns desk because I was afraid to go around to the front to customer service. As I was explaining to the returns lady I was picking up an order, the German Shepard comes over AGAIN! I have now barricaded not only me and my dog, but the two ladies behind the returns desk with my cart. Here comes the IDIOT owner owner AGAIN to get his dog. And STILL does not say anything. I said something to the ladies and their response was this "Dogs are not allowed in the store, but we cannot stop people from bringing them in. Ray is so and sos Father who works here, we cant tell him what to do." I was floored at the audacity of this man named Ray. I apologized to the ladies and said "I thought we could bring our animals in, I will never bring my dog in again, now that I know.". When I got to the car all I could think of was WHAT IF a parent was walking in with a small child, or a baby in a carriage? And this MASSIVE GERMAN SHEPARD approached their child? The situation would have gotten a hell of a lot worse. I called Home Depot headquarters and I am waiting for a response.

Remodeled our entire kitchen, new custom cabinets, countertops, flooring and appliances. Kitchen designer was GREAT, had to fire the installation company and hire our own contractor because Crew2, the contractor they use, was so bad to work with. Tried to talk with the store manager and he flippantly told me to call corporate. Had problems with the refrigerator that was less than a week old and when I requested a new one, the manager said, "What am I supposed to do with a broken refrigerator?". Called corporate and they sympathized, but offered no help. Company is too BIG and values their process and productivity over customer service. Save your money, buy local. These big box stores are not worth their discounts and financing, they dont stand behind their products or what they do.

Yesterday I had a bad experience with customer service. I wanted to make an order for $600 and have it delivered, but the woman that works there was very rude and tried to blame me for being at her desk. In the meantime she nicely served some gentleman behind me in the line while I was waiting for her to finish a simple task with me, nothing extraordinary. I guess she is looking out after male customers. She also didnt have a schedule for the deliveries and thought that it is very natural. Lowes always know when are the delivery days. She was very "outspoken" and smooth, and at the same time rude and unhelpful. What a waste of a job for an unfriendly customer service. I went to lowes.

Home Depots online dept. is capable of truly comical levels of incompetence. Two MONTHS ("two-week shipping at most!") after placing an order for 1 (one) container of wood stain, I still havent received it, and theyve charged me for 2 (two) of them. While all the ridiculous stories theyve concocted have been amusing, and yes, its been funny to hear them blame other departments for their numerous mistakes, I had to finally cancel the order. Im betting it will arrive from the other site I re-ordered from before I see a penny in refunds from them. Morons. Never again.

Scheduled deck supply delivery for yesterday. It never came - contractors here with no supplies. Spent 2 hrs and 21 minutes on hold during 8 call attempts over the course of the day. Spoke to someone who put me on hold and never came back - I hung up after 24 minutes of waiting. Talked to someone else who said Taylor had to call me back and he would within 30 minutes. That never happened. This is the second time I spent the day calling with nobody answering the phones. Very poor service.

Stood in line in the garden section to get ask for help getting some mulch. Women had me pay for the mulch and said she would call for help loading. 20 min later no help in sight! Asked for a refund, but she couldnt do it. Finally called her manager who instead of helping me load mulch gave me a refund. Bought the mulch at ShopRite (next door) for 60 cents a bag less and someone immediately walked out of the store with me to load it and was super happy to help me.

This Home Depot is truly a team. I have never had a better experience at a big box store. The kitchen design staff is astonishing in the way they went above and beyond their jobs, enlisting the advice of the lighting specialists, researching questions. I live in Manhattan and it was strange to have the experience of a family run business at a Home Depot.
