A shame what they allowed to happen to local resident who regularly shopped there. Security guard falsely accused Francilla Daves of stealing and instead of him and management reviewing the security footage prior to.calling the cops they get her arressted! Of course these cops are.quick to.believe anything negative about the community members they serve. During the 5 hours she spent detained they violate this religious woman by forcing her to.expose herself. Shame on 107th precinct and a shame on this supermarket. Stop and Shop is 5 minutes away, larger, wider aisles, better selection, fish department and respectful of the community members who patrionize them! Will be shopping anywhere but this Key Food going forward!

They did an up grade , since I went there the first time. However ,I bought what was called the managers special. When I reach home the meat was spoil. That was a lost of money for me. I went back since then and even with the clean up of the store, they still have fruit and veggie that are spoil. This store is more for small familys and single people. Some food is package for a single person. Certain items are on the shelf too long.

Its a supermarket, not a High-end restaurant. Its not ritzy or anything but at least it doesnt look run down like some other supermarkets Ive seen. Dont expect 5-star service either. Im not saying that their service to you is terrible; most are willing to help you if you ask, but dont expect they to tail behind you like a car salesman to help you. If you see one, ask for whatever you need and theyll direct you or guide you.

Used to love this store. Now under new management . (Some) of the new cashiers are very rude. Cannot find the brands that I want. I do not always want to use "Goya", its not my favorite brand. Vegetables are fresh which is about the only positive thing I can say at this time. Hope it improves. Find myself at Ideal and Stop and Shop more whereas before I did all my shopping here.

I find the staff to be helpful however since the market has been under new ownership, prices have increased and now customers can no longer get cash back when paying. What kind of market doesnt provide this service? Using the atm there isnt the answer when you will incur a fee. I am not happy about that at all.

Now that Key Food is under new management most of the fruits and vegetables the neighbors enjoyed have been removed or are limited. The display of foods are overcrowded leaving less room for movement and it makes the store look junky. Still expensive for a store in Jamaica Queens.

They have upgraded in the past few years. Friendlier staff. 5% senior discount on everything. Sadly, some produce is still rotten (then it gets packaged) and lots of dairy products are expired or 1-2 days near expiration. Then it goes on sale. Not right.

Just recently taken new ownership. Took a few weeks for the new management to get things in order but its great now. So much of a selection of food. Ownership is now Domincan which means many products and hot food are mostly Spanish.

Theyve renovated the store and it is appealing and bright looking and you can pay for your items with the updated cash register which move you out the store faster. There items are so far good but there prices are high end.

The stores pretty good decent prices and staff is very friendly and always find what I want. The only thing I would say is that they need to have more variety in sizes they need to have smaller sizes in some items.

They ran out of elbow macaroni 3-days before Christmas and I was forced to shop elsewhere bad enough I had to wait till I had enough money to shop today but the employees were very helpful
