Id been going to this store since it opened and saw it go downhill quickly. Many of the employees are rude, impatient, and uninterested. I blame the store because I believe its mostly due to poor morale as Ive had to complain about a supervisor berating an employee over the public address system. So unprofessional! Some stock people hide from you if it looks like you have a question and if you happen to corner one often dont know where anything is outside their assigned area. They never have enough cashiers on duty so the checkout lines are outrageous. The last straw for me was when customer service refused to refund a 7 cent difference on an advertised special in the current sales circular insisting it was an error which I would have accepted had it been on the error sheet. They refused to explain how they determined it was an error without any documentation so I returned the items for a full refund. Since I must drive to grocery shop I just drive somewhere else. Management at this location just doesnt care.

I frequent the counter for the fried foods (chicken, fish, shrimp) - and every time I go there, I encounter poor customer service. For some reason, the managers of this Pathmark put the most unfriendly clerks behind the fried foods counter. Out of the entire staff at Pathmark, the fried foods clerk seem to be the most ill-equipped at dealing with people in general. Im not sure if its due to a lack of intelligence but it seems so. They dont smile and seem very annoyed when you approach the counter to place an order. Its common sense to behave like a decent human being to people. Im so confused about why these clerks dont understand that. Managers at Pathmark need to understand that customers DO NOT want these type of clerks to handle their food. Ill be taking my money elsewhere.

This Stop and Shop is the WORST supermarket in the area, I noticed clear mistreatment of the workers, I saw the new managers mostly white, scream and threaten at the employees for no reason. It was scary. I almost had to call the police. I think the managers name was Chris, he was extremely rude, nasty and seemed racist towards not only the customers but the work staff as well. I hope they get reported and they close this store for good. I had to wait almost an hour at the check out line, not to mention the store seemed dirty as hell! How does this supermarket pass the health inspection, they clearly must have both roaches and rats. Disgusting!!!

This place was OK when it was pathmark because it had more hours and I was less likely to leave with outdated products. I have had to return several times after leaving once I see how old my food actually is and sometimes havent been able to return but instead thrown it away and essentially wasted my money and time. I have nothing against stop & shop but this location is the worst... I have been to several good ones but doubt Ill be back to this one despite the convenience of their location. Ive even seen items on shelves that are visibly old such as moldy bread. One time is forgivable but it came to the point where I now expect it.

after reading some of the reviews, I feel staff are friendly and courteous. I agree quality of food is questionable. purchased produce, saw their tv ad of fresh produce all the time, opened a package of romaine lettuce and found mold, fungus and wilted leaves which were not visible until package was opened and leaves were opened to clean. all three bunches were inedible. to be fair have shopped at other locations with better quality of food. wont shop here anymore until quality improves. by the way was averaging $150 - $225 per week which is now going to another store - not necessarily stop and shop

The setup is pretty drab and the lighting more so. Other stop and shops Ive been to I take my time browsing. When I go to this one I just want to get what I need and get out. The register area is too narrow so when the lines are backed up people and carts spill out into the pathway. There are always lines and not enough cashiers. I go here when I absolutely have to. I dont enjoy shopping at this particular Stop n Shop it was thrown together too fast. I thought they would have renovated some but its basically going to the old Pathmark.

This supermarket is a disappointment! Its very dirty and short of staff. The crowds of customers have dwindle down to just a few! There are very long lines at the cashiers because they only open two cashiers! My family recently bought bread from their bakery and when we took it home, we noticed that it has mold on it. The date on the bread was a recent date, too! Theyre selling outdated produce. Its sad because Stop and Shop is a good supermarket but THIS location is not a good one and I wont be surprised if they close down.

If Im shopping for seasonal fare, turkeys for Thanksgiving, spiral ham for Christmas, hot dogs for july 4th, I know they will have a special for that holiday in the circular. The seafood section is as good as the fishmarket on sutphin, and they are larger so chances if youre shopping for Campbells cheddar cheese soup, itll be there. Moderate to high prices on the meats, but specials offset that. Big deli, international & frozen sections, may not be open 24/7 anymore but still the goto supermarket in southeast queens.

Normally do not shop at this location and now I see why. As soon as I walked in I hear customers complaining loudly about not enough cashiers...stock was all over the place in aisles causing hazards...no workers on the floor to help with assistance....uncleaned spills....bad produce still on shelves...expires items on shelves. I thought I just went in on a bad day but after speaking to someone who lives in the area they advised that this is everyday there. Never again will I go there

if you go into this store, check the expiration date of your items. I bought a couple of items, and when i returned home i saw that they were expired. I went back to the store to get a refund for the items, and everything went smooth. I checked back the next day and those same exact items that i returned were put right back on the shelf. Now every time i walk into any store i check to see if the items expired already, i do not trust any worker now.

Its the only supermarket in the area,if you have to come here dont expect much! The line is always long,even the self checkout. The produce is always on its last leg of freshness,even the organic produce is suspicious. They stock more frozen products than fresh produce,and dont bother looking for an associate for assistance. The general flow of the store is frustrating so prepare for confusion. Also,it always stinks!

In the change over from pathmark to stop and shop I expected to much. I thought they would strip and clean the floor, which they didnt. It also smells like fish from the front door which it didnt before. I had expected to find my Rice Dreams in the refrigerator section, and nope, not selling it. The good news is that the prices seem to be lower. But they have reduced the hours. Ill check it out another time.
