I appreciate having Old Goat in town, as it is a fairly unique store. They always have a lot on hand, although (as with any thrift-type shop) they may not have exactly what you need. There is also a selection of new staples (backpacks, tents, sleeping bags) if you are just looking to gear up quickly and not hunting for a deal. Ive gotten some really good deals over the years ($50 Marmot snowpants, clseout; $80 Marmot softshell jacket, $10 closeout hydration system), and drop in from time to time even if I dont need something immediately.

Every time Ive gone to Old Goat theyve had what Im looking for at the price Im looking to pay. The gear is always in great shape and the staff is knowledgable and helpful. Also, theyve bought my old gear for more than I expected. Before going to Eastern Mountain Sports, or some other big name store, give Old Goat a call or stop in. Theyre awesome!

Great selection of new & used outdoor gear. Sometimes it takes a few tries to find what you need, but its worth it. My family has purchased gear for hiking trips, bike trips, and sports, as well as winter coats. Great used gear at very fair prices. The staff & owners are knowledgeable & helpful.

Very helpful and informative for customers of all skill levels. They also helped on a minor bike repair and only charged for parts. I wouldnt expect that service every time, but it was a very welcome gesture. Ill definitely give them return business in the future.
