DO NOT GO HERE! THIS PLACE IS THE BIGGEST DISASTER! Unfortunately, I went to the Wedding Plaza in Floral Park for my Bridal Gown. When I first when to the Wedding Plaza I felt a little awkward about the place because the girls at the front desk where RUDE. I ended up falling in love with a dress and decided to order it. When the dress came in Carmella, the seamstress came to see the dress on my and told me that it fit like a glove. She then told me that because I was ordering all NINE of my bridesmaid dresses, Mother of Groom Dress and the Flower Girl dress there that they would accommodate me and charge me a $120.00 CAP for my alterations. Well that DID NOT HAPPEN. The ONLY alterations I needed was to tighten the dress up a TINY bit and a HEM. THATS IT. Oh by the way, when I got the Hem done, the seamstress had my stand on the block and took out a scissor and started cutting the bottom of my dress. When I asked her what she was doing? No pins? Nothing, she said she was experienced and has been doing this a lot time. DID SHE REALLY JUST PUT A SCISSOR TO MY DRESS? When it came time to pay the alterations they charged me $350.00. FOR WHAT? I spoke with Carmella (who of course denied having any type of conversation with me), I spoke with the Manager Ron, who claims that “brides are under a lot of stress and we get things mixed up” AKA: Bridezilla. They were not the SLIGHTEST bit accommodating. When I finally paid for the alterations (which has to be in CASH - SHADY ) I took the dress home and tried it on for my mother. THE HOOK IN THE BACK OF THE DRESS POPPED OFF. Not only that, my dress has flowers in the back of the dress and one of the flowers was FALLING OFF. I had to bring my dress to another seamstress to completely fix my dress. I have a lot of vendors, a lot of people that I had to deal with for my wedding and I did NOT have even ONE problem with anyone, not the DJ, not the Videographer, not the Photographs, not the Venue, not the invitations/favors, not the Church. NOTHING. THIS PLACE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR BRIDES they simply ONLY care about money. IF YOU GO HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!

Where do I begin. This place should be a negative 5star YES negative. If you buy a dress from another location they will charge you half what dress cost just to seam it at their location. Granted if you buy a dress from their location its a different pricing. Customer service a joke my wife went their for her dress to get it fitted. Just an hour wait. On top of the wait they complain about having the shoes hence when they never ask to fit the dress with the shoes but than had to resize it again because they had to do with the shoes charging more.$$ My sister law whose wedding is this week yes this week they screwed up the slip. They had time but waited for the last minute. Granted the snow storm we had put them behind schedule for a day but they still waited for the week of the wedding what establishment does that. The girl no wait the child behind the counter. Rude disprectful and mishandle the situation and owner admitted a mistake was made while the girl demanded an apology from the bride. If the owner admits the mistake and doesnt want to have the issue resolved peacefully it shows this business establishment only cares once they have their money. Anything after that is not their problem. God forbid if something went wrong they will charge you more to have the problem resolve. Go here its at YOUR OWN RISK.

I went there as a bridesmaid for my cousins wedding. The dress itself was extremely beautiful and the bride made the mistake of ordering the bridesmaids and flower girl dresses as well as the tux for the ring bearer from there. I had made an appointment for my first fitting and when I got there they woman at the counter rudely told me that there was no record of the appointment in her system and that I cant just "show up for these things". Lucky for me, the person that I ordered the dress from wrote it down on my receipt. The staff is extremely rude and I stood at the counter waiting for someone to acknowledge me for 10 minutes! I should have known this place was shady when they informed me that they only accepted payments in cash. After 3 fittings, they still couldnt get my dress to fit me properly and the dress ended up having a pull on the back of it, but I just took the dress the way it was because I was so fed up. Two weeks after having paid in full for the dress and the worthless alterations, my bride called me to tell me that "the dress place" wants to know when I am going to go in to pay for my dress and pick it up. Umm....HELLO! The dress had been hanging in my closet for weeks! WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT GO THERE! ITS A NIGHTMARE OF A PLACE. I honestly dont know how they are still in business.

Awful service (not in all aspects...read further) !! I went there along with four other girls last year for a wedding that took place in the fall. We were told off the bat that we were going to be contacted if our dresses were on the discontinued list. We were never contacted or informed that the dresses were discontinued, we only found out once we called about going in for our first fittings!!! So then months before the wedding we had to start from square one after the whole theme of the wedding was based on the color of those dresses. Overall, everyone working the floor was absolutely awful, customer service was rude and no one was taking in to consideration that they should be appreciating our business and that we chose to go there for part of the biggest day of my life. The alterations department was awesome, they were so sweet and very accomodating, made me feel very comfortable. The DJ and the photographer were awesome! So easy to work with and really made it a pleasurable experience. They made evertything so easy and really helped me to feel less stressed. Overall, if I could choose to use the DJ and Photographer again I would in a heart beat, but no one could pay me enough money to go back there and get my dresses, not even if I was getting them for free!

I went there to look for bridesmaid dresses for my girls. At the counter, the blonde lady addressed us rudely, told us to fill out a paper that wasnt there. She was acting like it was super busy. It was a Wednesday afternoon with about 5 people in the store,counting my friend and I. She then told us in a rude tone, go to the back and look at the dresses. An associates granddaughter pulled the dresses for us. My friend tried them on. When we were done, I returned to the counter to ask some questions about the dresses and possibly order 6 dresses. The counter lady and another associate that I think was a manger, both were helping someone with a communion dress. My friend and I were not acknowledged, were not told that someone will be with us in a minute. The manager/associate that was helping the communion dress customer was in the middle of a bridal consult at the same time. When I tried on bridal gowns at Bridal Reflections, Macys, and Kleinfelds, I had the undivided attention of the bridal consultant. In this economy, small businesses like this have to strive to achieve the best customer service in order to survive. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
