This place is incredibly disgusting. The entire establishment reeks of cat food. The odor hits you especially hard when you enter, in the fruit section of all places. You eventually get used to it but its still distinctly there. Its in terrible disrepair, with scuffs on almost every floor. It looks like it hasnt been updated since the 90s, and thats probably the case. As of July 2015 they look to be doing upgrades to some walls. Prices are average. Frustratingly, not be early lower than in the rest of the city, despite this being the cheapest neighborhood close to Manhattan. I give this an extra star because the guy who bagged my groceries was especially nice, letting me know the date when I filled out a form and thanking me for signing up for their club card. He sang along to one of the intercom songs and generally had a good humor about him. In New York this is truly a remarkable level of service!

Have a great selection of product, far and away best grocery store in both bedstuy and crown heights for variety, fresh produce and name brand items. Even has a gluten free aisle. Always clean and organised. Staff at service counters like the deli and fish are very helpful and friendly, although I wouldnt mind it if the cashiers were a little more useful and nice. Waited nearly 20 mins for anyone to help me with a return when I asked a cashier to page someone. Finally someone came and silently helped me but they were clearly uninterested. Never get much of a greeting when Im going through the aisle or even a thank you half the time... but hey its New York right?

I love this place. The manager is an angel and once he even threw on an apron and got behind the deli to slice meat for me after the deli guy left. The place is super clean (I have no idea what that other reviewer down there is talking about regarding a cat litter smell) They just renovated and added an organic/vegan/gluten free aisle with every Bobs Red Mill product you could ever need. There is a massive craft beer selection and they have a beautiful produce aisle. Do you need fresh dill at 10pm? Foodtown has it. Do you need an organic hard cider and a carton of eggs and live active yeast and Cinnamon Toast Crunch? Foodtown has it. I love Foodtown.

Ths store is best 4 neighborhood, some things r a bit pricey, but No Way like Key Food stores. Lots of bargains/sales on things. Id rather shop there then KF anytime. Juniors is the best of all! All types of bargains n discounts. Its worth shopping there, esp., if u dont have a car n CNT go to those big shopping centers n NJersey or Nassau county malls n places like that. Id say Juniors n Foodtown is 2 gud places to shop for food in ur neighborhood (bedstyvesant/bushwick). Thy are def worth ur trip to either store, Juniors First!! better deals by far!

You have such a variety. Sometimes you have to come out of your neighborhood to get quality, organic goods and variety. You can get everything here. It is nice and clean. The staff is so helpful, courteous and respectful. I was in the produce aisle and I needed help with finding an item in another aisle. He stopped from what he was doing to help me and made sure that they ordered the item that I would like to purchase for the nrxt time I come shopping. I love shopping in there. Reminds me of wholefoods..

With some things, size definitely DOES matter - grocery stores, for example. The bigger the store, the bigger the selection (in theory). This place has everything - delicatessen, butcher, even an olive bar and sushi bar. The only trouble is - its so big that its a little hard to navigate. I always find myself doing 2-3 laps of the store because things arent logically ordered. TIP: sign up for the foodtown rewards card. I always manage to save around 10% with it. More cash to splash at the olive bar...

This store is a mess. The deli has given us bad meat. The people working behind the deli are unprofessional, always talking and causing long wait times, and have no interest in making sandwiches. Everyone who works here needs to be fired or retrained. While white customers are treated with respect, if you are Black and trying to receive service, forget it! I will happily take my business to Trader Joes where I am met with great service, respect and fresh food.

Circular and store points will be your best option for saving money at any food town. This particular food town is kept relatively clean and stocked. I do like that they have a great selection of organic foods. Customer service is not spectacular but good enough for a grocery store. If you live in Bedford Stuyvesant it worth checking out for yourself.

Surprisingly clean store. Produce looks very fresh. There is a hot bar and a deli counter with sushi and shumai options. There is a bakery section where u can have cakes and other desserts made to order. There is also a refrigerated section with a lot of sandwich/ soup/ salads/ juiced lunches for the local professional grab-n-go crowd. Nice work!

Nice assortment of regular and organic groceries! Bought a whole, vegetarian fed chicken for a great price! There is an entire section for vegetarian fed and organic meats! Just dont like how unorganized and off the pricing is ...Always tend to be descrepancies but if you pick up and get a nice cashier (few of them) then there wont be a problem.

I love this place. Good prices for a really great variety--lots of very reasonable gluten free food. The managers are incredibly friendly and helpful and inviting to suggestions. They always play great classic soul music and most of the shoppers are singing along, like you are in a musical about the ideal supermarket.

Para o meu gosto brasileiro achei muito bom esse mercado. Ótima variedade, caixas rápidos também. O mercado tem self-service de comida e sopas.

I LOVE the staff there, and the selection of organic and specialty products they have is the best in the area. PLUS--for $3 bucks theyll deliver to your kitchen! thats cheaper than taking a cab minus hauling everything to the cab, out of the cab up the stairs down the hall etc etc. Anyway, I <3 FT!

This place has really improved over the last year! They have a pretty large vegetarian selection, fruits and veggies are usually in decent shape and not too $$$. They have convenient hours, the staff is friendly, and Id rather shop here than any of the their grocery stores in my neighborhood.

Here you can get most of the things you might want from pricier places like Whole Foods without having to go there. The staff is very helpful and they are eager to make products available. As a vegan, I can go there and confidently shop knowing that I will get what I need.

Overall this is a nice grocery (despite miserable looking cashiers) however we bought a bag of fresh baked bread (5 pk of Torpedo rolls) from them on Sunday & today (only 3 days later) the bread is covered in mold. Very disappointed as both my time and money were wasted.

Et godt men ret dyrt supermarked i Bed-Stuy. Man kan få det meste her, men specielt frugt og grønt er dyrt.

Super Foodtown on Fulton is HUGE. It has a good organic section and fresh produce, and the variety of good offered is impressive (theyve got some pretty obscure ethnic offerings, as well as the usual standards). I just wish it was closer to my apartment!
