My wife and I absolute love this place. It is because of Moore Brothers that we have become so interested in wine. Youd be hard pressed to find better customer service at just about any business, let alone a wine shop. The selection is so unique, and unlike wines that youll find anywhere else. Every wine that they carry they have a personal relationship with the producer, and the care in handling and selecting these wines really shows. Visiting the store is like an event in and of itself. There is always a few bottles on the tasting table, and all the staff are extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They know their inventory extremely well. This is such a great shop, and we would never buy wine anywhere else.

I have shopped at Moore Brothers stores in NYC, Wilmington, DE (close to my daughters home) and New Jersey (where I lived before moving to NYC). My experience has been that you get consistently great service, consistently terrific wine, and at mostly reasonable prices. Their staff tends to be extraordinarily helpful. Contrary to the views of another reviewer, I am not a yuppie, and certainly not a young one, but have had nothing but positive experiences with these guys. My advice is to do what Moore Brothers does to their wines--chill and enjoy.

The Moore Brothers and their family that operates the shop are extremely knowledgeable and conscious of their wine sourcing and delivery. The entire shop is kept at 68 degrees, with jackets up front for those who cant handle the cool air. With wines organized by region, the layout is friendly, staff is friendly and prices are reasonable.

Seriously, these guys are friendly, knowledgable, and not at all pretentious. They are very serious about helping you experience new wines, but also just as ready to help you find what you need. Also, their selection is very much thought out - no random wines lurking around this store - honestly great, great wines!

I live in Connecticut but its worth the drive to come to Moore Brothers in NYC. Their $20 bottle taste like it should cost $80. I dont know how or why but their selections are just so much better.

Great wines. Even better staff and always something on the tasting table. Kid friendly. Non-expert friendly. If we ever leave NYC one of the places I will miss the most.

Knowledgeable staff. No spirits, just a well curated selection of honest, small production wines. Leans toward elegant, old world selections
