Norwalk CT Total Wine is not ready for Prime Time---- I liked the prices but they stink on customer service/special orders. Its Friday,12/27/2013 and I called to order/reserve a keg. They put me on hold then some woman at Total Wine gets on the phone. Asks me what I want and replys --" were not doing that - first come first serve". She seemed harried and annoyed. I said, "so I cannot order a keg?" She says "were really busy, we are not putting your name on a keg or taking orders, we open at 8am tomorrow--- you need to come in" Thanks Total Wine you have lost my business. PS: I call my local town liquor store, after 5pm on a Friday. They seemed busy too - they took the order, asked if I wanted tomorrow, Saturday, I say sure. They call the distributor after hours and just called me back within the hour, telling me it will be there by 4 tomorrow. Wow, what a difference.

While a great go to store for a great selection of beer and wine, the front end staff is beyond rude. Beware the box Nazi! You cannot take boxes over the weekend due to the busy nature of the weekends. While I am fine with that, I do not appreciate being spoken too like a thief edpecially while I had over 100 dollars of booze on the belt. In going over to clarify the policy with the front desk, I was followed by the box Nazi who had to interject herself into my conversation, leaving her register now less, a bit defensive?? I was not mad, I was going to find out when it was a good time to come in for a few as I am moving. Well again, store is fully stocked but with experiences like that, why would I shop there again? There are better stores that treat you with much more respect.

The best liquore store. That is really all I can say. To new customers who have never heard of TW however, if you are looking for that special bottle or even something you may have never seen of or heard of before, make the trip here. Selection is endless, quality is superb. The staff are knowledgible and pretty much at your figure tips whenever you need them. Big store size, local business value, service, and quality for all customers whether youre buying big or simply need a suggestion on that small but special gift for your friend, family member or special someone. This establishment has taken it to a super store level but has consistently kept its interest and focus on the customer, that is what makes TW my favorite and go to liquore store.

It feels like a used car dealership where youre pushed into buying their "Direct" products instead of the items youre looking for in the first place. During the colder months they reduce prices very slightly but jack up the prices in the warmer months. The managers are rude if you mistake them for a floor salesman and they will push you to buy their "Direct" products before tossing you to a salesman who doesnt know their butt from their elbow when it comes to liquor. More than a few times Ive come across managers disciplining their workers, and right there in the aisles! Im surprised they manage to hire people. Take it from me and shop at BevMax.

A great place with a massive selection of beers & wines & spirits from around the globe at great prices. Most people who frequent this store, already know what they are looking for. For those who need educating on the vast array of drinks, CAN get advise from select staff members, but the customer should remember that to know all of the products and what they taste like, you should go somewhere where you pay a lot more money for the same product. The service here is great and the staff are very friendly.The prices are great and it must be a great pace to get so busy. A no brainer!

The only thing this store has going for itself is pricing. Customer service as well as knowledge of such alcoholic products is poor. The staff is rude and has no idea what they are talking about; especially in regards to wine. And thats if you are lucky enough to find someone after literally 15 minutes of searching. In addition, checking out feels more like a pass through airport security. Guess I picked the wrong day to shave... Do yourself a favor and spend a few dollars more for a better customer experience. Simply put, I would equate this store as the "Wal-Mart" of alcohol.

They have tons of cheap wines and in the past we went more often then we do now to this branch as well as two other wines they have in Florida. But heres why we used to go often -- before you could get a $10.00 wine with a rating of 89 to 92 points. That would be a rather rare find nowadays. Although, I can confirm that aside from wines from Spain, Germany, France, Israel and other wine regions in the USA, they do have liqueurs, beers or vodkas, gins,brandies etc.

Many, many selections with decent prices. The main problem is, however, with the employees - arrogant with smug attitude. Whenever Ive asked somebody for help they made me feel like Im not worth their time. And whats up with the cashier asking both me and my husband for IDs, if only one is buying? It has never happened to us anywhere else. Besides if you are asking for an ID, please dont show an attitude and behave like a cop, Im a customer here.

Whats going on with this place? They take out a huge ad, promise a great selection and great prices...and two weeks later - zilch! Ive been there three times and the store is EMPTY!!! If this is the way a huge retailer runs its business, leading its customers on from the very start, Id rather buy my wine, beer and booze from the dealers Ive dealt with before. Maybe they should convert this place into a bowling alley.

The selection of wine, spirits and beers here is incredible. Staff is knowledgable, helpful, and friendly. Great selection of local craft beers. Wines are organized well, according to taste AND grape type AND country of origin. Amazing, perfect for aficionados or the beginner wine drinker. What else is there to say? this place is great!

Huge selection of beer, glasses and other accessories. Cashiers are very friendly. However, they have a huge sign stating they are suing the state on pricing. Who cares? Consumers shop locally for convenience and service. Their lawsuit is self-serving and will only help put the mom and pop shops out of business.

Went for the very first time yesterday and was extremely impressed with the store, the size of it and the cleanliness. The service was fantastic as well, a young man helped me get all the beers I needed for a party I am having. His name was Jonathan and he made my first experience there a good one. Thank you!!!

The Costco of Alcohol stores. Total Wine is a phenomenal place to shop for anything from beer to cocktails! The staff is immensely helpful if you need some good suggestions, and the fun little wine/beer tasting events they sometimes host make this a really fun place to be shopping!

Huge selection at the very lowest prices available anywhere in Connecticut. Since opening two years ago it has probably saved me close to $1,000. I never shop for wine or liquor anywhere else. What else can you ask for? Thanks Total Wine.
