My experience here was terrible and I will never return. I came in on 3/15 in the morning and I asked for 3 samples of Benjamin Moore paint to be mixed. The man seemed to be having trouble with the machine and then his co-worker came to help them. Two other customers came in (who happened to be white), I am black for full disclosure and both men immediately left me and began assisting the other customers while I waited. It took about ten minutes for them to get back to me. I told them I was no longer interested in the paint as I clearly was not their priority. They told me I misunderstood and I told them I just needed a bag of ice melt at this point as I had to salt the steps of my building for my tenants. The paint was a choice and I could get it elsewhere. The ice melt was an immediate need as my tenants safety takes precedence over my pride. I would suggest black Bed Stuy residents consider not coming to this business.

Dont hesitate to drop into this his is a great, local paint and hardware shop. The guys that run the shop are very kind and helpful. Ive only experienced them going out of their way to help me find what Im looking for. I have yet to leave without the item I went in to get. It beats going to the zoo that is Home Depot - which I almost always cannot find at least one thing what I went there for.

They dont have a huge selection, but they probably have what you need. Its almost like a hardware store version of a convenience store in terms of the layout/size and how quickly you can get yr stuff and go. But, also like a convenience store, it is a liiiittle bit more expensive than other local hardware stores. Its still pretty cheap, tho and the guys are super nice, too.

This place has everything you need and theyll order quickly whatever you might want. They remember you as well even after months gone by youll go in and theyll ask how such and such turned out and genuinely want to help.Great to have a store run by real people who take pride in their store.

Were tourists who needed a large screwdriver to open a stuck suitcase. They had exactly the right one. The people were friendly and very helpful, plus the store has real, vintage NYC character.
