I went to this bike shop recently for a tune up. When I went to pick up my bike and asked what work was performed as part of the tune up, the owner, Gary, said he didnt know. Then he found a bullet list of items from a sheet and put it on the counter. When I asked if I could speak with the mechanic, Gary said he wasnt in. When I asked if I could call to speak with him when hes in, Gary started yelling at me and said "No! Its not in his job description!" I couldnt believe it. I was truly flabbergasted! I told Gary I didnt like his customer service. I wouldnt normally write a bad review, and Im actually being fairly kind here by not describing the details of Garys demeanor and tone. However, I felt compelled to share my experience with you and steer you away from this place. I cant believe this guy is actually in business. I strongly suggest you go somewhere else for your cycling needs. I admit, I was being lazy. I was also being optimistic when I thought Id give this more local shop a try. However, the next time I need a tune-up, or any bike repair, I will travel the extra distance to go back to High Gear Cyclery in Stirling. Ive always had a great experience there and the mechanics are more than willing to discuss tune-ups, repairs as well as general cycling information, etc.

Overpriced. And they only did the bare minimum, even less, in fact. I brought in an old bike, and asked them to fix it up to make it functional. They didnt even give me any options in picking out tires. Then they let me ride out of there with a low functioning rear brake. When I went back right back after riding out the store, they made lame excuses about how its old and brakes like that werent made after 1980. Umm...liars. I have had another older bicycles with the same type of brakes, and they have all worked perfectly. I ended fixing the brakes with the help of some family members. I would definitely NOT recommend this place to get repairs done. They simply dont care about the equipment or customers. Go somewhere else.

Went in looking for a hybrid. Paul the mechanic was super helpful. Ended up buying a cannondale. Got last years model, heavily discounted. The owner Gary was there too. Also a nice guy. Spoke with him a while. Very knowledgeable about riding in the area. Paul gave the bike a full tune up while I waited (included w the purchase of the bike) and showed me how to adjust the gears, disc brakes etc. I highly recommend this place. Ive been into cycling for a while but only recently discovered this shop. Glad I did. Certainly worth the 30 min drive from my house.
