As many already know Whole Foods is often in the news for unsanitary business practices, which violate governmental health codes and protocol. The West Orange location is evident proof of why Whole Foods is constantly cited. Their handling of food is unhealthy, deadly and criminal! Additionally, produce is often wilted and molded. The fresh baked goods display cabinet is often invested with flying insects. Yes, the bagels, scones, muffins, pastries, croissants etc... are housed in invested enclosures. Your made to order cakes, cupcakes etc... are transported "uncovered" down a filthy elevator and then left on utility rack carts, as customers walking by sneeze and cough all over them. So many people believe Whole Foods to be a wonderful upscale grocery experience. IT IS NOT!!! I have seen Whole Foods employees pick up ptoduce from the floor and restack it on the display. Customers should visit the food preparation depts. within the store. DISGUSTING doesnt begin to speak of the findings there! Not all Whole Foods employees wash their hands after visiting the restroom. The restrooms themselves resemble jail bathrooms and are ALWAYS FILTHY!!! The list of all that is wrong and unlawful with Whole Foods is endless! So, Happy Shopping Whole Foods Enthusiasts!

This store pretty much cheated my sister out of some money. Basically, the person working the register neglected to put an item into the bag. We didnt have time to run back to Whole Foods, as guests were coming for dinner and we needed to get cooking, so we called and asked them to just credit us for the missing item. They wouldnt. Then, they directed us to their regional office (in Edgewater, apparently) who told us that we could come into the Edgewater store and get reimbursed by gift card, but we had to go into THAT store, which is totally out of the way. All of this wouldve been annoying, but not egregious, had my sister not received attitude from everyone at the West Orange store. (The people she talked to at Edgewater were very nice.) For what they charge for their stuff, and for the way they position themselves amongst their competitors, youd think that theyd be more on the ball. Had the same problem happened at a lowly Foodtown, wed have been reimbursed or rain-checked immediately.

Very cool experience. Large selection of natural deoderant, toothpaste, oils, lotion which is hard to find in big box stores. I found Brazil Nuts that Dr. Oz show was talking about, $10.99 a pound but they are fresh and tasty. I also stumbled upon some forbidden rice (black rice- I think thats the name of it). It was sooooo good. I got some food from the food court area. All were delicious. Each shopper I seen had smiles on their face walking in which is an oddity in North towards east Jersey- lol. I like that they give descriptions of foods and process in the cheese, fruit, vegetable section. Yoi could EASILY spend 2 hours here. The deduction of 1 star is because of the high prices. All that I purchased except for the nuts and organic laundry detergent I could get at Trader Joes. I would def go back for the food court though!! ^_^

To Whom it May Concern, I am writing this on behalf of one of your workers, Omar Gordan. On Sunday May 3rd, 2015 four of my family members had dinner at the West Orange Whole Foods. It was around 5:30 p.m. After eating, I walked out of the store leaving my handbag with all my identification cards, wallet, etc. hanging on the back of a chair. We were heading toward our car, when this young man ran out of the store to give me my bag. This young man is Omar Gordan. I would like your company to present Omar with some type of commendation and an increase in his salary and /or promotion. When we come into contact with this type of rare energy, we need to nurture it. Thank you Omar; and Thanks to the West Orange Management for hiring the likes of Omar Gordan.

Wife wanted artichokes. Traveled to a few stores and had no luck. Rather than continue driving around aimlessly we called ahead to see who had them. The Whole Foods in other stores were honest and checked then told us they didnt have any. The Whole Foods in West Orange said yes the did so we drove the 45 minutes only to get there and find out they didnt have them. A company like this with the intentions of leading a better life through the quality of food should also hold themselves to a standard of integrity. Shame on you.

Ive been shopping in this Whole Foods for more than two years and I used to enjoy it till yesterday. One of the staff warned me to control my 18m old boy because he touched the products on the shelf. He did not destroy anything, just touching. I was told that customers(!) may complain about this. This is so mean. I am a customer and nobody can tell me to control my child as if he is a pet!

I had such high hopes for the hot and cold bar. I knew Id spend some money but wow! I spent $22 on dinner. It was a combination of hot and cold food at $8.99/lb. I also got a rather small piece of pizza that was pretty good but $5. The hot and cold bar were awful! I cant even finish the hot food. The salad is almost edible. I will definitely not go back. $22 wasted!

Beautiful Whole Foods. Odd plaza choice though. The surrounding stores arent the nicest and neither is the parking lot. IDK, just not the best location for a Whole Foods. Other than that, it was crowded like all Whole Foods are with the clientele youd expect. Well-to-dos eating/buying fancy foods ;).

We shop here regularly and weve noticed that the price is not much higher than when we shop at Acme or Shoprite. The produce selection is excellent, and the staff at the butcher/specialty services are quick and knowledgeable. The only thing I dont usually buy here are personal care products.

Love this place and the product however, not the friendliest service also my experience is been if u ask for help most the time looks and sounds like that u inconvenienced them . based on the fact I shop at Trader Joes quite often as well . Its night and day compare to service !

This location is really spacious, has a wide selection of prepared and hot bar foods, and a nice sized parking lot so that gets a 5-star rating from me. I use to somewhat crammed Whole Foods locations in NYC and definitely no parking lots. One of the perks of suburban life.

Great variety of organic foods although because it is organic doesnt mean its healthy. Alot of the foods marketed as healthy here are loaded with unnecessary sugars. Thank God I like to read labels to make better choices. Prices are higher due to the organic brands.

I was helped by this guy who was very knowledge about the products, he took the time to explain and recommend the products and sizes that were more worthy for my money. The only problem was the cashier who was kinda of mean/rude. Probably having a bad day.

NOT ENOUGH ORGANIC PRODUCE. Other than that, Whole Foods makes it easy to eat healthy, they have a great selection of fresh and frozen foods. Its a great, hassle free shopping experience for Vegans as well. LOTS of vegan options. Nice staff, clean store.

Called ahead to see if they had fresh artichokes, was told they did. After driving 30 minutes, it happens that they lied to me. There were no fresh artichokes there and the woman on the phone didnt even bother checking. Will never shop there again.
