The service manager of this franchise, Joe Esposito, does not abide by his own companys warranty. We could have bought the same table for the same price online, bought the table from his store in order to give the saleswoman commission. We bought a dining room table on clearance from this store, but after the table stained after one meal at the table, we were concerned. Mr. Esposito, was nice enough to send out a technician to clean the table after we were unable to get the stains out on our own. The technician who came to clean the table warned us that this table appeared not to be sealed properly and would continue to stain; needless to say, we were very upset. He told us and Ethan Allen in his report that the only solution would be to refinish the table in order to block future stains. He also said that this was a manufacturing defect and that Ethan Allen should pay for this refinishing. First, Ethan Allen claimed that our table was purchased "as-is" and that they had no responsibility to the manufacturing defects. They quickly backtracked on that claim, as nowhere on our paperwork were the words "as-is" and we were never told that before we purchased the table. After backing off their initial "as-is" claims, they still refused to do anything to help us in refinishing the table, as they claimed that the stains on our table were due to neglect of the table. Ethan Allen refused to take any responsibility for the lack of proper sealant on the table. Each and every time weve eaten at the table, there have been stains left, even though we wipe down the table per Ethan Allens recommended care instructions. This shows an obvious problem with the table, rather than our care of it. Long story, short: Ethan Allen sold us a dining room table with a shoddy finish (that multiple furniture experts have confirmed) and refuses to do anything about it. Ethan Allen Corporate does not offer any support or assistance and they yield to the arbitrary decisions of the stores service manager.

After several conversations with extremely RUDE and unhelpful staff at the Wayne store I called the corporate office to register a complaint. What I found was that the attitude comes from the top. If you are looking for design help or advise of any type you would do better to go to walmart. No one seemed to be interested in the treatment I received or apologized for the responses I received. I will NEVER SHOP at this store again. Good Luck

Horrible service, Susan was rude and definitely lost a potential customer. Had my eye on a table and wouldve bought it. I believe it has to do with us looking young and being Hispanic. Super mad about their service.
