I have used Kens Hardware since ive moved here in 1988 when my husband would say go to home depot or lowes because he is too expensive. I would still go to Kens, however when I called on sun 10/23/16 my mind is changed!! I called and a man answered and said "Kens Hardware this is Ken whats your name" so I asked hi could you please tell me if you sell mixed paint? So he said "Hello I can help you this is Ken what is your name?" So again I said could you just tell me if you sell mixed paint? In which again he said " I can help you my name is ken what is yours" So I just said, you dont need to know my name could you just answer my question? Now we have 30 seconds of unnecessary banter, and then he says to me "Oh gee Im sorry if I offended you" and then he proceeded to hang up on me. If that was Ken the owner then he has some pretty bad customer relations and I will be doing my business at the big stores like everyone else!

Went to Kens Hardware to have keys made. Four times back and still could not get keys to work!! Staff (3 different people) told me they have had a lot of keys returned because key machine was not calibrated correctly. When I called and spokle to Owner, FRANK KELLY, he was EXTREMELY LOUD AND RUDE on the telephone I immediately made a fifth trip back to KENs HARDWARE and received a refund and wanted to speak to Mr. KELLY in person. I WAS AGAIN spoken to VERY LOLUD and RUDE and told that "I WAS DISRUPTING HIS STORE" !!!! I never got to say a word. SEEMS Mr. KELLY doesnt like to take his BAD PRODUCT BACK and/or TRAIN HIS EMPLOYEES properly. ALTHOUGH, in 20 years of going to the store, his employees were always very nice. MR. KELLY, YOU ARE A BULLY AND HORRIBLE BUSINESS MAN. I WOULD NEVER STEP FOOT IN YOUR ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN HORRIBLE EXPERIENE AND WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW.

HORRIBLE & POOR SERVICE all around .................. Place buried in crappie strip mall......... They did not answer my multiple email requests regarding a product they supposedly carried on there website and when I went to this store they did not have it... I heard good things about this store but while I was there another person was complaining about there lack of in stock products. I wasted more money on gas driving to this franchised place that offers poopy and unreliable based service Another franchised business providing s****y service.. I love Home Depot and Lowes better service and lower prices...I will put up with a little longer lines as at least I can get what I want!!

Kens is the place to go for the average person doing a home / automotive repair. Staff is friendly, helpful, & knowledgeable. I can go in with a screw and ask for the same thing only 1/2 in longer & they know exactly what size, thread, material, etc. In most cases their prices are only pennies more than the mega-stores, and it is compensated by staff that is readily available, short lines, and its closer to me. They carry knobs & pulls that arent available in other stores and are very helpful when I tell them "I want to do xxxx", offering advice.

This is the kind of place other people wish still existed by them. No need to go to Agent Orange or Big Blue. The big boxes stink in comparison to the careful, correct and individual service you get at Kens. Furthermore, they are the same or even lower prices than the competitors. They have EVERYTHING, and help you find it fast, even if you dont quite know what youre looking for. SIMPLY PUT, the BEST !

Kens is a good st store. One guy who is a little creep ruined it all. Was there with 76 yr old handicaped father on june 10 2016 buying over a hundred bucks worth of stuff. I asked a ? AND GOT THE F bomb!!! From the guy at the counter. Im shocked. We have visited many times n never had a prob with anyone. Im pissed off and will go elsewhere from now on.

Dont bother with the big boxes. Walk in tell them what you need and someone, who knows what theyre talking about, takes you there. If you need 7 screws, you can buy seven. Not 2 boxes of 6. Best service! Everything but lumber. Youll save a lot of time. Everyone I know loves them. Plus, from what Ive bought, the prices are comparable.

I find everyone at Kens to be super helpful and knowledgeable. Its not like searching for someone in Home Depot - they are well staffed, friendly and I believe in supporting the local businesses. Do it Best and go to Kens - they have it all.

Hands down the greatest hardware store in the state. I love Kens. I have never had a hardware need that they couldnt fill. Plus their friendly and knowledgeable staff always make time for the customer.
