These guys are simply the best. When we moved to our house nearly 4 years ago, we needed a local BM paint supplier and happened to find Abels while driving down Van Houten one day and noticing their big Benjamin Moore sign outside. We were back and forth there many times for A LOT of paint, and no matter who we dealt with at the register or in the aisles, they were always super friendly and super helpful. Weve gone to them for a few different things since that time (and well be painting again soon, so well be back to them for some more paint). Theres something to be said for the personal yet professional service you get from a local mom & pop shop that the big box stores just cant match. Id highly recommend considering these guys for your hardware needs, even if youre sometimes paying a few cents more for certain (not all) items than in the big-box stores. The "blue store" and the "orange store" will be fine; its support of local businesses like Abels that will help make sure our community continues to thrive!

This little hardware and paint store has been in my community since I was a little boy, and probably many years before that. My Dad used to take me there almost every weekend to get "stuff" needed for the house. When I grew up and joined the military, and left Clifton for a career, I never expected Able Hardware to be there when I returned almost thirty years later. But there it is, still the "port in a storm" for all the people in the community. Still a "one on one" experience for all that need help with their hardware, or painting needs; and much, much more. In my opinion, this business is a reflection of all that America once was, and continues to strive to bring back that quality of life that made us great so many years ago. Visit them and feel the confidence they build in you. Its what America is all about; the real America anyway..........

Most honest and professional folks I have dealt in a long time. I brought in a broken start pulley for cord & spring replacement. They took the time to explain in details a few questions I had and gave me tips of preventive maintenance and winterizing lawn mowers. Overall it was an excellent experience, honest and friendly place.

Great people and super knowledgeable. I can always go in there and just describe what it is Im trying to do and they have the right tool or part to make my life easier. If you, like me, cant stand to spend a minute in home depot, do yourself a favor and buy your hardware needs from these guys (and your lumber from Birch Lumber)

Able is the great name for this store!!! They are an old style hardware paint store !!! By old style I mean a compliment. They have everything, and know how too.. Great people, go out of my way to use them for everthing harware !! Might be a little more but the knowledge factor is well worth the price !!
