I was very impressed by the Sport Spots staff expertise and great service when I was looking to upgrade my tennis racquets. As with so much technical sports equipment, upgrading is a daunting, confusing exercise given the level and speed of technology innovation. Sport Spot had a very good supply of racquets available for demo (although their lenient demo policy is clearly abused with folks keeping racquets out for weeks.) Staffers were very interested in my experience with each demo, gave me valuable ideas based on my comments and helped me pick some great new equipment with a customized hybrid stringing package to suit my playing style. The kicker was with all this individual consultation they sold the racquets I selected (Babolat Aeropro Team GT) at the same price as the big tennis Web sites. Plus they threw in the high-end strings and stringing service at no extra charge. Next time Im in the market for any sports equipment or clothing, especially anything remotely technical (e.g. downhill or XC skis), Sport Spot will be my first stop.

In a world of homogenized big box stores that all carry the same thing its refreshing to find that Sport Spot keeps the focus on good quality gear. They are a staffed by a crew that appear to actually play the sports that they sell gear for. Try for that sort of advice next time you visit someplace that claims to be an authority on a sport.
