If i could explain my experice in one word it would be deplorable. The tattoo artist was extreemly poliet and my tattoo came out phenomenal. When it came time for payment the tattoo artist took my AMEX. After, he gave my card to the owner to put it through the machine and he looked at me and said, "NO, we dont accept that here!" I asked him, "Why would you have asked me when i first came in if it was paper or plastic?" His reply was, "No one takes AMEX anymore dont you know that." Mind you the whole time this was infront of six coustmers and two othere staff members. To say the least the least he was unprofessional and extreemly insensitive. Insensitive to the point of tellling me he was going to hold me there with my infant child and call the police to file a report. I offered to let him take a copy of licence, social security, and card credit. He told me the only way he would let me leave is if he took my credit card and licence until full payment. Now let me ask you how would I drive a vechcle if I dont have my licence? After thirty minutes of him yelling this issue infront of every person in the shop we finally settled by him taking my passport and having him make a contract saying Id come back and pay him the next day. Let me say i will never go back there or reccomend that tattoo shop to anyone not for the quality, pricing, or the ammount of time it took but for the way i was degrated in front of so many people. Behavior like that from a grown man is discusting.

First off I would like to say the owner Van is an awesome guy and a great artist. He has done just about all my friends tattoos and they are all amazing. However my wife and I went there to get a tattoo drawn up for her. There was guy there I have never seen before Lou. He used to own a shop in flanders. He was very rude to start out. When we showed him the piece we wanted which was a fairy to go on her shoulder blade the first thing he says is that its too small it will have to be an entire back peice to get any kind of detail into it. Now my wife has 2 other large tattoos and isnt a stranger to them. So we leave a deposit of $40 and a rough sketch of the tattoo she wanted. Several months pass and Lou has never called back to tell us the drawing was done. Turns out Lou has since been fired and now works at pure ink in Roxbury where he did a simple tattoo for my sister. He butchered it. It looks like a 3 year old tried to color and couldnt keep in between the lines.

The BEST place to be inked. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I consulted with Van on the tattoo I wanted...my first. He was friendly, interested, and unlike some other shops I was in that just pointed out their book of their art, he was obviously experienced and versatile, being more about the client than being freaky. During the process, he took his time, was meticulous, explained everything every step of the way, changed gloves constantly every time he had to touch something else and btw, if you go into another shop, do ask them about their inks and if they mix their own, because some shops will use outdated pigments containing metals. Not Tattoo Zone. He gave me instructions for caring for the tattoo and told me to return for him to check it in a couple weeks. I love the work he did and I recommend him without any reservations.

This was the first tattoo Ive ever gotten in my life. Van, the owner, is quite knowledgeable and explained in detail about the process of getting a tattoo. I was clueless when I got there! I had sent him some photos via email and he worked on the design a few days before I even showed up for my appointment! That was quite impressive! I loved the fact that he wanted to make sure I loved the design & the placement of my tattoo. His customer service skills were impeccable! He really cares about the customer being comfortable and satisfied. Overall, I have to say... this was a great experience for me! I love his attention to detail and hes a highly skilled artist! My tattoo is gorgeous & I absolutely LOVE it!! I would give Tattoo Zone a "10"! Ill be going back to get my second one very soon!

Ive been going to this shop for years. I have had a LOT of work done there and it was always clean, professional, and thorough. The prices are great, and there have been many artists I met through the years, with multitudes of talent but the owner was always there and always awesome to me and all my friends that I brought in. I trust their expertise and recommend this shop highly. I even had him pierce my daughters ears because I didnt want to go to a piercing shop in the mall that uses a gun. He made her as comfortable as possible and she loves her earrings. I continue to come back, even when I moved out of state.

So Ive being going to Van for my piercings for some time now, got my rook, tragus, cartilage, and most recently a triple forward helix with him. I was very happy with this piercing but once I got the triple forward helix.. the one piercing closest to the tragus.. literally tore my ear. So what Im saying is that it was placed very poorly, so it tore. It wasnt something I could prevent, I take care of my piercings. So Im just really disappointed, hes a really nice guy but perhaps he should have paid a little more attention to placement.

Van is the best! While many other places will just do what you want with no questions asked, he is professional and honest about everything. Its great because he wants all his customers to be absolutely sure about the commitment theyre about to make, be happy with what they will have afterwards, and not experience any regret in the future. His work is quality and I couldnt be happier with my tattoo. Van also has so many exciting stories and advice, which really helps take the mind off the pain. Ill definitely be coming back for him.

Van is very rude, and has no customer skills. Place was MUCH better when Bill ran it years ago. Van is known for mis-spelling words on peoples tattoos, which have to end up being fixed at more talented and reputable tattoo shops. His work is just mediocre, and there are a TON of better shops out there. BEWARE of this place! Ask around, there have been a lot of people who went to other tattoo shops to fix the mistakes made at Tattoo Zone, including 2 people I know, which is how I know all this.

I came here to get a nose ring. The piercer asked what side I wanted it on, I told him, and then he proceeded to attempt to pierce the wrong side. He would have done it had I not stopped him. In the end, he gave me a stud instead of a ring, which is frustrating but overall not that big of a deal. The entire time he was kind of rude and didnt really take the time to consider what I wanted as a customer. Overall, I would not recommend. I will be going elsewhere in the future for piercings.
