Buyer beware! This is a very shady "dealership". They couldnt call it "Vespa" because Vespa wouldnt allow them to...which is why they are "Metro scooter". If you buy a new or used Vespa from them, check it out completely and maybe even bring along someone very knowledgeable. Look under the seat, under the body, every and all places... If the price seems "like a great deal" and lower than what similar Vespas are going for - theres something wrong with it. This was my situation with them - I was told the Vespa was in great condition, ran great, that they always serviced it before it was traded in. So, I trusted them, did a preliminary check and rode it around the parking lot. It felt sluggish, but they said that this was normal. Within a week, I returned it - after looking at it more closely when I got it home because there was a strange noise coming from the front wheel -- I was shocked to see what a mess it was. Broken parts, rust, etc... The owner, Alan, said that he was surprised that they didnt see this. I bit my tongue when I heard this -- no dealer with a shop that said hed serviced the vehicle over time, took it in on a trade and performed all maintenance required before reselling would/could/should miss this stuff. The mechanic, Charles is a good guy, and the salesgirl is decent, curvy eye candy, but buyer beware...

You cannot get better service. Between Charles, Allen and Lisa; this team will not disappoint. Customer service is what theyre all about - an amazing relief after the attitudes flying around at the Vespa shop in nyc. And if youre worried that they wont help you because youre in nyc and theyre in nj - throw the judgement out the window because they service clients in nyc and will drive in on scheduled days. Not to mention, their prices are better and they have a winter storage service where they will come into the city, pick up your bike, and store it for the winter (or however long you need it), for what I think is a great deal at $249. There is no where else Ill go.

Charles the owner helped me out after my Vespa was acting all crazy ... Since I do all my own maintenance, Charles informed about a catch system thats built into the oil pan of my engine. By far Ive never been to a vespa dealer that was so helpful and more informed than Metro Scooters! DMV road test assistance, Winter Storage needs (close to the city), No pompous attitudes. Charles is the guy at the shop that you trust who also happens to be the owner, a rare bird indeed. Dont walk ... ride your Vespa and know nothing will be forced or pushed upon you ... They treated me as if I had purchased my GTS there ... My next Vespa will be from Metro for sure!

A agree with these reviews, Allen (Alan?) is extremely helpful and is a pleasure to work with. This year was the first time I used Metro for winter motorcycle storage and I will be doing it every year from now on (or until I move someplace with a garage). Prompt, courteous, professional. A pleasure, really.

Came from the city to Metro Scooter. My wife and I were planning on getting a Buddy Stella. Alan was knowledgeable and very up front. His level of guidance was excellent. I would highly recommend Metro Scooter, and am not afraid to go to them again in the future.

These guys are great. Their ability to diagnose the problem & fix it in a timely manner is unmatched. The staff is friendly & courteous. This is the only place I will be taking my Vespa for repairs from now on. Thanks to Charles & all the staff.

Have owned my Vespa LX150 for 6 years and we are VERY LUCKY to have a shop like MetroScooters around. Prompt, courteous and extremely careful with servicing the scoots. Worth a drive from anywhere!
