Staff is always very nice, parts department is very helpful. Service department is a complete rip-off. Unfortunately Dutchess Rec is renown for rediculously overpriced service, everyone that I know that rides in this area feels the same way, and avoids them when they can. I can recall 5 or 6 times over the years where myself or close friends or family have left their machines here for repair or service, and were blown away by the bill. Their hourly rate is average price, but its pretty apparent that these guys look for things to fix, and I know their markup on parts is very high. Several times the bill has been much, much higher than the quote. I gave them another shot recently, as I hadnt been there in years, but $1100+ later, Im not thrilled. Listen, I get it, these machines arent cheap toys, and they require service and the occasional repairs. Its a pay-to-play hobby. But if my average cost for the occasional trip to the service department is about a quarter of what the machine costs new, then thats just out of control. Just avoid them, theres several other dealers around that Ive had much better experiences with.

Had tires and inspection done. Bought tires elsewhere and was able to get in. Everything looks and feels right, and a shiny new inspection sticker, but took a day and a half and then got charged $210 for tires vs the $155 I was quoted for the job online. $75 a tire was already pricey, so $100 a tire seems a bit of a stretch. Since it was marked in caps "CUSTOMER BOUGHT TIRES ELSE WHERE," that may have been the reason for the extra markup (which a lot of shops do, so nothing out of the ordinary), though that was discussed in the original service quote discussion. Marked as 2.4 hours to change two tires. Both time and price seem high. Probably wont be going back for other service, but the job seems like it was done well enough.

Gone in on multiple occasions to this shop. Sales was very friendly but service was awful. Severely overpriced and deffinetly not the most welcoming . I called today to see if they were willing to take a look at a used bike i was thinking about purchasing. The guy gave me a ride tone and seemed to be bothered by my phone call. Although Im not the biggest fan of the Polaris brand Texarus Polaris in Hyde Park had much better service. I brought in a YZ250F and I was treated like a freind as if they actually were interested in my business. Stay away from here unless your looking to purchase a new vehicle. $115 an hour for ATV and Dirt Bikes. WOW

Bought many bikes from them over the years and always had a good experience with sales and with service. Now that they are a KTM dealer Im happy to finally have a local shop to use. Prices are in line with what youd pay at a reputable shop. If you expect a full service dealer to compete with a buddy in his garage youll be upset when you get the bill but theres someone to answer your call if youve got a problem. Its got to cost more to have real employees and a real building than to build a website so parts are going to be more too. Bottom line is compared to the other options in our area theyre the best.

Would have been a great experience if my sales person was more professional and followed through with what he said. I bought a scooter on Saturday and its Thursday now and still dont have my license plates..called and he didnt tell services to expedite the process and have it overnighted like he promised so Im stuck with a useless scooter for almost a week when I told him I had no other transportation at the moment.. I borrowed a truck and drove an hour+ to this place and I cant get temp plates atleast?! figure it out dutchess rec..

Ive been dealing with Dutchess Recreational on and off over the years. Last week I decided to buy an ATV, called the shop and had it within two days. The sales person, Mike, was very Informative and kept me up to date with the shipment, delivery, assembly and even loaded it on my trailer. He even took pictures of the assembly of my 2016 Brute Force 750 EPS. The owner Jeff was also very helpful and polite. I priced a few different dealerships and DRV was almost a thousand dollars cheaper. Thanks guys.

You can buy your bikes here, but dont have them fixed here. I have paid over $1400 to have a problem fixed, and it isnt even remotely changed. I paid almost 200% markup on some parts (that it turns out I didnt need) and an exorbitant labor rate of which I got some time double billed, and 2 weeks later the problem is exactly the same as it was before I brought it in. The only change was my wallet. Unknowledgeable staff, discourteous, overpriced... That about covers it.

Just purchased a 2017 Suzuki King Quad from them. Ken and his sales staff worked hard to make the deal I was looking for work. They dont charge those rediculous assembly and freight fees either. The entire paperwork process took only 15 minutes and I had my atv in my trailer! They even discount future purchases on any items you buy for your atv! They maybe the best in the putnam, westchester, dutchess, and east CT area!

I recently bought a gently used quad from here. When we got it home we noticed it had some gear issues. Called the next day and the staff was very willing to fix the issue at no cost. When we finally dropped it off everyone was very helpful and friendly. They got the job done the same day and didnt mind holding it for two days until I could pick it up with no storage fee. Everything was fixed at no cost to us!

Exceptional service!! Was assisted by Jeff Heyl, the service manager at Dutchess Rec. After explaining the issues that I was experiencing with my snow blower and generator, Jeff was able to quickly diagnose the issues, provide a accurate estimate and most importantly reassure me that my equipment was in good hands! Going forward, I will bring all of my power equipment to Dutchess Rec.

Stay far away from this place. Purchased a bike from them and sold it a couple years later only to find out they never activated my extended warranty. They just pocketed the money and left the new owner screwed. Horrible parts/service. If you want a KTM make the drive up to Edelmanns in Troy. They are excellent.

Altough shops increase prices on parts to make money, their prices were way to high, an extra $50 quote for a tire. Parts staff were extremely helpful though. Service is a joke, disorganized and takes way too long to get sinple tasks a tire change done. Never dealt with sales but they do have a decent selection
