The quality of products there cannot be trusted, and the customer service there is horrible. If you go there, dont trust the expiration date marked on the packaging, and make sure you can finish what you buy in one week because you can only return anything within one week, no matter the reason. I showed the staff and the store manger there the dry food I bought in H-mart with the expiration date of February 2012 but right now already got mold inside. Since I hadnt opened it, so I wanted to return it, at least I needed an apology. I told them I knew it was out of their 7-day return period, but this was about product quality. If I cannot trust the information given about the food they sell, such as the expiration date which is a very important factor, how can I buy them? The result was very disappointing and even hurting. They just laughed at my trusting of the description on the packaging. Not to mention they refused to accept the return in a very rude manner. Thats the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I will never go there again, and will remind my friends to be careful about this.

I frequent this H-Mart at least once a week and although this place isnt exactly like the H-Marts I use to go to in Queens NY, the fact that theres Asian groceries in Bergen County is huge. And not just Asian groceries, but GOOD quality produce. You wont find the huge variety of products as compared to Chinese supermarkets in Queens, NY but for most essential vegetables and cooking ingredients youll find them here. Theres a tiny bakery inside that Ive never bothered to consider due to my own preferences. One big gripe I have is the quality of the shell-on shrimp. Theres some type of preservation chemical in the shrimp that gives me itchy bumps on my arms about 30 min after consumption. This condition isnt caused specifically by the shrimp Ive eaten here and Ive had these allergic reactions from some restaurants. This place would be a 5/5 if there was a bigger butcher section - perhaps there isnt a market for it in the neighborhood, but if you build it they will come.

I get the Steamed Pork Buns, frozen, but good. Would love to get the baked roasted, but cant find yet. Building could use updating. A wide variety of products. The Bakery always has numerous delicious offerings. I try something different here every time I shop. They have several people giving samples of products as well. A little bit of everything is offered, from fresh produce, fish, and meat, to frozen dinners and desserts, and of course ALL the different Specialties they offer that arent available at your local supermarket. Overall for a shopping experience, EXCELLENT

Dont go there if what you need can be got at Shoprite or Target. For Asians though who need some traditional/special food materials made in Korea, Japan or China there is no better choice. Definitely much better than any other Asian food retailer you can find in the area (actually, largely, in New Jersey). The customer service is not good because most of their staff dont speak proper English, and as someone has pointed out there is the 7-day return policy, which can be annoying in case you dont know.

I bought 2 bottles of Soy Bean Milk $2.99 each. When I arrived at home I found both of them expired over 7 days! I called them and changed 2 new ones. Unfortunately, the changed 2 bottles of Soy Bean Milk are tasted badly! Because I opened them, I cant return them. One week later, the price goes down to $1.99. But the bottles are inflatted. They should NOT be sold on the shelf!

If you are looking for Asian food and Asian fares this would be the place to go. Their pricing is very competitive to other Asian stores and they have a bigger variety of products. On the weekends they offer free samples to try out the food products. They also have a variety of fresh meats, poultry, seafood and produce.

I had to repeated ask the staff to help me find a product they would just point to the area it was supposed to be in. Then it turned out they were pointing to the wrong place. After the 4th time when I got upset someone actually showed me. The other locations are much better staffed and have fresher products.

Popular Korean grocery store chain in the US for those who dont know. This one is typical for the North Jersey area, though a little out of the way if youre not in Little Ferry as its a non-descript warehouse with a perpetual giant pool of water in the parking lot.. The H-Mart in Ridgefield is much better.

Cashiers were laughing at my correction of pear price in korean. But the attitude shows they dont know and did not want to check on prices when being reminded. Retail stores sold similar merchandise, its the attitudes make them stands out. Im very disappointed.

Has a lot of ingredients you might need in cooking Asian cuisines and Asian fusion. It can be dirty though, compared to Ridgefield and Fort Lees H Mart. It could just be the building, but you notice it when you walk in based on the smell and floors.

East Asian Supermarket. Pretty large, clean, and offers good variety. I recommend you check it out, especially if youre adventurous when it comes to food. (-1 star for no longer carrying sushi grade salmon but Ill forgive them eventually :-)

This mart is better than in Ridgefield. They are competitive in the price and fresh product especially for the meat. Only the problem is the parking lot, there are lots of ponding water when it rains.

They definitely need some extra attention to sanitation. Every isle is covered with dust and mold. However, they have butchers so pork is a lot cheaper than any other Hmarts nearby.

The staff are not friendly. Wrong price on the shelf, $9 less than what they really charged. I told them the wrong price, and they even didnt say sorry. Will never be there again.

Very good place to find certain asian groceries. Im a filipino and this place is a must go. Plus, great prices too, some are usually cheaper than other hmart around the area.

The customer service is terrible. The building is not clean. In my case including some cases I heard, no debit card, no check, and only cash to pay. But some goods are cheap.

Great place for family. A large variety of selections that grand parents and the kids can all find what they like. Food is fresh and good quality. We go there every weekend.

Good variety of Korean and Filipino food at reasonable prices. Better, more diverse selection of produce than most of the "regular" grocery stores locally.

You can find good bargain there from time to time. The place is clean, not crowded. You may find part of the parking lot is flooded sometimes though.

This is the spot to go to for international market shopping. Love the selection the only one that has a larger selection of filipino products.
