The butcher and the fresh sofrito are the reason to go here!! I get the $40 meat plan and it lasts my family of 3 a month.. the fresh sofrito is sooooo good.. I dont think i have ever really bought any other items other than a few fresh produce and some seasonings, rice and beans... im sure that i would buy more every day items if i lived closer, I have a grocery store around the corner from my house i get my everyday items from.. but i always try and make the trip here for my meats once a month. It helps to go with a spanish speaking friend to talk to the butchers if you want substitutes .. we are not a fan of pigs feet or chicken feet - but they gladly let you sub these things out for extra pork chops or ground beef. The plan i get always comes with cooking ham and chorizo as a courtesy

It saddens me to say when they sold the store it was the end to a great Landmark Ive shopped in that store for nearly 30 yes I cant believe how horrible it has become the quality of the meat and produce is so horrendous ! To be honest I almost started to cry. Because it catered to the Hispanic community. Where else can we go?? Its a tragedy.

Unhygienic, unreliable, overall rude. This was taken from my entire experience shopping here over the past year. Egg shelves covered in broken eggs, sticky and disgusting. Chicken buckets full of liquid and fly orbiting on a day to day basis. Otherwise, you cannot beat the convenience of this place.

Best grocery in downtown Jersey City with an excellent butchery that will give you all kinds of cuts. The store is clean, the price is fresh, and the staff is friendly.
