I bought the Galaxy S4 on a Sunday then went to return it the following Sunday. The sales associate knew the basic phone specs. However, he did not mention the restocking fee imposed on a return. I found the phone unnecessary since I have a smartphone for work and the S4 actually costs $100 less on Amazon. I simply wanted to return the S4 that was in mint condition. It was when I went to return the phone that a supervisor told me the receipt lists the $35 restocking fee. All other stores Ive made purchases at inform the customer prior to the purchase of a product that their is a restocking fee (obviously to give the consumer some consideration). No such information was told to me here and the receipt isnt given to you until after you purchase the phone. By then it becomes used by the sales associate who activates the phone and runs the setup wizard which any customer can do themselves. I decided to contact Verizon Wireless directly where customer supports Kim refunded half credit to our monthly bill balance. The store supervisor should notify sales associates to tell customers of the restocking fee. Outside of that hassle, Geeta and Michaela were actually very patient and helpful during the return and re-activation of my other phone.

The other reviews are spot on. This place is horrible. The sales reps dont know anything about phones (but they still try to sell you any and everything in the store). DO NOT LET THE SALES GUYS MESS WITH YOUR PHONE. They will break it. The guys pretty much ripped the back of my phone of and didnt give a *hoot* when I was trying to tell him how to do it. My Droid 4 needs a special tool to insert into a hole in the back. The sales guy didnt care and pretty much broke the back when he took it off. I got another phone through the warranty (manufacturer defect, again for the second time), but they dont come with a back. So now I have a brand new phone with a broken back and now I have to buy another one so it will stay on. So annoying. Again.. these people here know NOTHING about their phones. All they will do is break your expensive device and they will waste your time trying to sell you every piece of junk in the store.

BARBARA sales rep at this store ignores your needs, as she is too busy surreptitiously pumping up your bill, foisting promotions, slipping in accessories you expressly said you did not want, and argumentatively trying to convince you need more data than you will ever use, then rolling her eyes and heaving a sigh when you decline. I have never been so exasperated and wasted so much time with what should have been a simple phone transaction. We only wanted a phone, not 100 other items and services. This was a Christmas gift and what should have been an enjoyable shopping experience was a disaster. We lamented we did not just order online as there was NO benefit to going to the store, just sales harassment. BARBARA get out of customer service. Go sit in a corner of a cubicle somewhere and do data entry where you do not have to even remotely come into contact with people. You are the worst.

I purchased a samsung mobile hotspot. It didnt work, then realized lots of people online same problems. Took back within return period and asked to switch to another brand. They wanted to charge me a restocking fee even know it didnt work! Crazy, I had to fight to get them to remove. While in store another customer joins in and strts bashing the service. My honest feeling is that Verizon some if the staff seam numb and clueless. They need serious training in the ability to know the difference between a genuine common sense issue or a customer trying to get over on them. I always feel unhappy when I leave here, as opposed to the ape store I always leave loving them. I cant wait for the fall if this monopoly or the change of it! Sorry Verizon store you just dont get it and now I expressed it to the world.

Well VZN East Hanover you made sure I would never give you my business. I have to say your customer service is atrocious and shameful. I walked into the store and not one person greeted me or bothered to walk me through the process of getting my name on the queue. No one asked if I needed assistance finding anything and for the entire 30-45 min I was there the only people I talked to were other customers. Even when it looked like some people with VZN shirts were messing around with display phones or chatting with each other, obviously not assisting anyone. Well done Verizon, well done. I did notice that maybe if I had been interested in an iPhone, I would have been helped sooner, because it seemed like everyone getting assistance was after iPhones.

Went in twice. Once at 8:00pm on a Friday night. Once at 1:30pm on a Thursday. 7 people in front of me the first time and 9 people in front of me the second time. Its purely first come-first served, whether youre activating seven family lines or, like me, simply turning in your old phone for credit after already having had all your paperwork processed [at the nearby Best Buy that happens to be unable to physically accept the trade-in phones but otherwise provides much faster service and offers all major carriers]. Be prepared to wait. On the plus side, as I sit here, Ive had time to write this review and remember that I need to also ask them about Verizons totally random LTE dropouts that I never experienced with AT&T. ☺️

Not sure why this store has such bad reviews. Ive had my share of problems with Verizon in general, however, the reps at the store have always been very polite and helpful when it came to fixing my phones. The first time I was able to leave my old phone there and they transferred my contacts and then called me when it was ready. Very helpful. Today I went to buy a new phone and Barb did an excellent job explaining my bill, how I can lower it, helped me with the purchase of the phone. Overall my experience here has been nothing but pleasant. Keep it up guys :)

Same as the other comments. Michaela (Or close to it) She did not know about the HTC phone, I asked her about a new battery for my phone and she said that they did not have but to look it on Amazon or other web sites. I asked her operation of the phone, sometimes the speaker comes on automatically when the phone rings on some calls only. I stated that maybe I might have turn it on somehow it on and how do I turn it off, she said"You are hitting the speaker button and if I stop hitting, the problem would go away".

I went here to buy an iPhone 7. The lady that was assigned to help me found out that Im a prepaid costumer and sent me to the Apple Store. Im guessing its either its too complicated for her or she doesnt want to be bothered because Im not signing for a contract. I was too tired to give her hard time so we went to the Short Hills Mall about 18 minutes away from this Verizon. We found another Verizon branch inside the Mall, where Ive got a great costumer service. Im not going back to the East Hanover branch.
