I shopped around before I ordered a keg of birch beer for a friend who was having a birthday party for her daughter. Shoprite liquors had the best price in the area so I ordered a 1/4 keg about 2 weeks before the party. The day of the party, I went to pick it up and the girls at the counter were dumbfounded! They had no record of an order. I believe I spoke with a guy named chuck when I placed the order. At any rate, they didnt have any kegs there at all and I only had 30 minutes before the party began to find one. I was lucky enough to find one at Bishops Liquors in Whitehouse. I paid a few dollars more, but was grateful they had some on hand. Dont think Id depend on Shoprite Liquors in the future.

I like the convenience of Shop Rite Liquors to my home, but I buy my wine by the case and on two occasions I was not given the 15% discount as advertised on the sign on their entrance door. When I questioned why not, I was curtly told that Gato Negro and Crane Lake were already too cheap to get a discount. When I asked why they didnt advertise that the wine was not subject to their discount claim, I was just dismissed by them as if their false advertising was not really important to their business. I will not shop at Shop Rite again.

The ONLY issue I had going here was that the cashiers are extremely laxidasical. The lines at the registers felt like it took forever to get up there to pay, it was about a 15 minute wait, and there was one person paying and two in front of me with maybe 2 items each,! Should never take that long for 3 customers with one or two items. They need to explain to them that customers want to be in and out, not standing around doing nothing but wasting valuable time.

The staff is always great. They just enlarged the selection so its awesome. Prices are reasonable. I one stop shop when I go there.
