If I could give negative stars, I would. On my first appointment, I went because I had a rather large bolt in my driver rear tire and I have Road Hazard through PepBoys, which covers tire repairs. Fifty minutes later, I was called up and they rung me up for $15 for the tire repair. I explained that I had Road Hazard and the guy looks at the computer, says "hmm, ok...but its normally more expensive" and then later tells me, "Okay, fine. You can go." Interesting. Two days later, my tire pressure light turns on and I go to check the air. Turns out, the driver rear tire pressure is very low and the bolt is still visible. I take it back to PepBoys the next day and I specifically tell the lady that it is the DRIVER REAR tire that is still leaking air. Forty five minutes later, I get called up by a different guy and he tells me everything has been fixed and then proceeds to ring me up for $12 for the tire repair. Confused, I told him that for one, I came in because the last repair didnt even hold for 2 days and two, I have Road Hazard Warranty. The guy looks annoyed and says, "Oh, okay" and hands me the receipt. I look at the receipt, which strangely says Vehicle Inspection. I start getting the feeling that somethings not right, but this is the second time so they must have gotten it right. I even specified which tire! Four days later, my tire pressure light comes on again. I put some air in the driver rear tire and the light goes away. So I returned to PepBoys and explain my situation clearly to the lady (who helped me the 2nd time around) that the air is still leaking and this is now my third visit for the same tire in less than 3 weeks. I watch her write down which tire is leaking and waited 30 minutes. She comes out and tells me that the driver rear tire has never been repaired and has not been worked on at all by the looks of it. Pretty confused and starting to feel frustrated, I ask her what was done the last 2 times that I came. She pulls up the files and says that it says a tire was repaired on the first visit (but doesnt specify which tire) and that the second visit just says vehicle inspection. At this point, I was extremely upset but maintained composure. I sternly explained that it is utterly ridiculous that I had to come 3 times for them to even work on the correct tire and that they tried to charge me the first 2 times even with the warranty! They seemed slightly apologetic at first, but then the mechanic that was listening looks at me annoyingly and yells, "alright, well fix it right now!" and storms out of the front desk area. As if this is my fault that you guys screwed up! The lady comes back to me and apologizes (she seems to be the only respectable person there) and tells me that the correct tire is being repaired and that it will be free of charge, like they are doing me a favor. I HAVE ROAD HAZARD WARRANTY. IT SHOULD BE FREE AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO COME IN THREE TIMES FOR A SIMPLE TIRE REPAIR. Also, thank you for the snide looks on your faces after realizing that I caught you trying to SCAM me. Heres a helpful tip to save time and money: If you are going for a tire repair, make sure you never bring it to this PepBoys.

I like going to Pep Boys to get my oil changed since theyre the cheapest around. Going to this location the oil change tends to take 1.5 - 2 hours on average, which is a long time, but the price is worth it. Today, I go online to schedule an online appointment and an advertisement on their website claims that it can get done in 30 minutes when you make an appointment online. When I proceed to do so and arrive at my scheduled time, I tell the representative why Im there and he smirks and shakes his head in disbelief. I ask him how long it will take, and he says Ill be "Lucky if I can get it done today". He claims they only have 1 guy working and theyre backed up. "When did you even make this appointment?", he clicks on his computer like hes never used it before. Waiting several hours for an oil change is ridiculous, so I left. The clerk convinced me to set an appointment for another day before I left, but this is the last time I walk into that place claiming to have an appointment and they look at me like I have three heads. I hope corporate reads these, because this location needs better staffing and better coaching for their workers on how to use their online appointments pronto. Previous visits werent much better. Staff is shifty eyed and very transparent about how theyd rather me not be there. Makes the whole experience very unwelcoming and uncomfortable. This is in addition to waiting for 2 hours after setting an appointment. If spending an entire afternoon waiting for an oil change to save a couple bucks sounds good to you, then by all means. Im going to spend a few more bucks and go to a place thats more professional and doesnt eat up my entire day.

I received poor service here, but the inside is like any other pep boys auto parts store. I dont like posting bad reviews but this seemed necessary, here are the facts: I am a mechanic. I took my car there to have new tires installed and also purchased an alignment as I just replaced the lower control arm bushings and it was a required task that I did not have the tooling to perform adequately. When I received the car back, much later than quoted, the alignment was not performed and I later discovered two wheel center caps were missing. I called and complained and was rescheduled, took it in, they had it for 8 hours, I got it back and it was still the same. I confronted the manager on duty, he said it must be my car and that there was nothing he could do for me, I was angry, so I left and sent pep boys corporate an email. A few weeks later I had to do some work under the car, upon inspection of the nuts and bolts that adjust the alignment, they were never touched (years of dirt). Laziness is a poor excuse. Corporate Never returned my E-mail, I still am missing 2 center caps and the car still pulls to the right, just dont go there.

I took my boss car here for an oil change. I had an appointment at 2:30, I got there at 1:45 to see if they could take us early. I told them that I had to be out of there by 3:30 because I needed to be back at work. The man rudely assured me that the car would be done by then. At 3:00, after waiting for over an hour , and watching each of the associates eat their ice cream as mr. Softee came by for them, I went outside and saw that the car had not been moved. So I went up to the associate, after he was eating his vanilla cone, and explained that the car has not been moved and I needed the oil change to be done before 3:30, one of the guys said "oh the mechanic must have gotten distracted". One of the associates came back with the paperwork and told me that he would not be able to get the car done by 3:30, so I said forget it and left. It is so unprofessional that the guy was too busy eating icecream to work on the car that I brought in for an appointment. Ive never had a good experience with any pepboys, and I advise people not to go there. So unprofessional.
