Someone hit my rear driverside tire, and it was crooked, bad. I took it to pep boys because they were in a conveniant location, and I was afraid to drive my car anywhere else, in fear my tire would fall off while driving. Pep Boys gave me an estimate of over $1400, which i could not afford. The mechanic then told me that the car would be safe to drive on for a few MONTHS before it would cause me any problems. I drove it to work the next day and took it to the mechanic that fixes my work trucks. I ended up paying $633 to get the thing fixed, and also found out when I took it there that if I would have drove on it for ANOTHER DAY, the tire would have come off the car while i was driving, and I could have killed myself or someone else. Pep Boys gives terrible advice, they quote you on things that you dont ask for, and that dont need to be fixed in the first place, and the customer service was extremly poor! I would also like to point out the the thing wrong with my car was the upper rear control arm, which for my model is a discontinued part, the guy that fixed it found a BRAND NEW one, and the price I payed still was no where near what Pep Boys wanted to charge me. I wont even go to pep boys and buy oil anymore. Not only did they try to cheat me, but the advice I took from someone who claimed to be a proffessional could have seriouslly injured myself or someone else. DONT EVER GO THERE FOR VEHICLE REPAIR!!!

I took my vehicle to these people less than a year ago for leaking radiator. They told me my entire cooling system had to be replaced including hoses, radiator, and thermostat. It cost me $1900 for parts and labor. Just a week ago, my car began overheating and leaking coolant again so I took it back to them. I was told I needed a new engine because I cracked the block due to driving it while it was overheated. I had it towed to a different mechanic who checked the engine and it was fine. All it needed was a new water pump. Pep Boys in Audubon are a rip off and they will lie to your face. Please dont allow yourself to be taken and scammed the way I did. Stay away!!

Crappy...The Parts Manager Would Not honor the "Pricematch Guarentee...was quoted $67 on the fone...got there the G.M said the part was now $88.75....said well AutoZones part is only $45.99...asked to speak the guy there that quoted us that price, he was at lunch...& he wouldnt call...5 min wasted tryin to make the mgr grasp the concept of Price Matching the competitors. prices...same parts...different boxes...and after a total of 20min later, just bought the parts n left knowing Had that Manager cared about the cust moreso then Being right...that Pep Boys of Audubon Might have More rsturn Business....Bunch of Newbs & Idiotic managers....

I went in there looking for hubcaps with my dad. The one guy that "helped" us had an attitude saying "This isnt my department and thats all we got" and then just walked away. No one seemed to know anything about hubcaps (even though this is a tire store...go figure). I usually wouldnt take the time to write one of these things, but they were rude to my father and that draws the line. We went over the bridge to Philadelphia and got everything we needed, no trouble what so ever. Your customer service really sucks guys. Get it together.

Pep Boys is always "hit or miss," but if you keep your expectations low its not too bad. Ive had experiences ranging from "Ill never come here again," to, "wow, that was great service." Now that I can order online and pickup in the store, my frustration level while shopping here has been somewhat reduced. Their long hours and good stock availability keeps me coming back. The promos and coupons definitely help, too.

Bought a motorcycle helmet with visor. A month later gt into a crackup, and broke the visor. I went in to pepboys to get a replacement, and they did not have any visors in stock. So the manager actually opens a brand new helmetbox and gave me the visor from it. FREE OF CHARGE!!! I dont expect this to happen to everyone but the level of courtesy and all around friendliness makes me want to go back.

I arrived there 730 pm last night with a flat tire. As soon as I told the guy at counter I need either a plug or a tire, he gave me a attitude and complain about how the have too much work to do. The service was terrible. Im in the Navy and I was on the road to report back to my command in Rhode Island. This was urgent for me. J & W tire took care of me with no attitude and I made back safely.

Great prices the employees are pleased to help you and are very wise and well-informed and take the time no matter what theyre doing or how important it is to talk to you and help you out with any project youre trying to do even if it might not be automotive-related I would recommend this to anybody who asked me where to go

Service was great! Everyone was helpful & they told me 1 hr 45 mins so we walked around not even 45 mins & they called me to let me know my car was ready great experience especially when your worried about your car

great overall experiance. every other shop said my car needed a computer and these guys found the problem in 30min. a crushed wire grounding out on the manifold. thank you pepboys
