PLEASE check BBB which gives them a C- and read the reviews on Yelp and Rip Off Report. A former employee told me they can delete some negative reviews. They also will hand you an ipad and ask you to leave a 5 star review before you leave just after purchasing and those positive reviews are what you see here on google along with more good reviews made by employees. The sales side of this place is as crooked as I have ever seen from a ussd car dealership. We purchased a car that they had marked up well over 5000 from fair asking price from a retailer. After putting 7400 cash down on a 17000 vehicle we were told we were getting financed at just over 10% but if we purchased thier service warranty, our percentage rate would come down to 8% We checked our payoff recently and see now that our loan hasnt budged much in 2 years. We still owe 11000. It makes NO sense. RTAG sold us a vehicle they knew we would be very very upside down in our loan immediately. A good car dealership does not do this. I knew going in that the make and model of the car we were buying had been notorious for having expensive spark plug repairs. The salesman at RTAG assured us that the year we were buying did not have these issues. The car is being worked on now for this very issue they had promised it did not have. This is the only time that they finally agreed to help us after many previous angry calls from us to help fix many of the other issues we had shortly after purchase. We are paying for it though. Kiara and the mechanic did help us out today. When this spark plug problem happens again though, (and it will) it will be 1600 through Ford to have done each time. Several local mechanics told us they wont touch it. Only 2 months after buying the car, we were needing to replace the rediculous wheels they sold to us on it. They were too big for the car so the tires needed to be replaced within a few weeks after we bought it and this would continue to happen. We called to see if RTAG would help us out and they refused. After buying several emergency tires and an emergecy set of wheels from a junk yard until we could afford the correct wheels that should have been on the car, we saved up to buy the correct wheels. Total expesses from that were close to $3000. These guys knew the wheels they sold us were going to be trouble. Very shortly after purchase, the coolant began leaking all over the engine and damaged several things that cost us over $1000 to fix. Again, they did nothing to help and the service warranty they sold us covered nothing. We had a loan officer look over our loan and he was able to see that the percentage rate of 8% RTAG claimed we were getting was a lie. The man in the loan side of RTAG should be prosectued for the lies he tells to get people to sign documents in his office. I see now other people giving reviews about being taken by these people. Whoever responds from RTAG to thier reviews on facebook does nothing to help and calls people liars. Read the complaints and most importantly read how RTAG responds. Thier responses should be enough to keep anyone away from this company. We also spoke with someone who used to work at RTAG. We came to find out that many of the warranties are scams. Some are not even recorded and the customer has paid for a warranty they dont even have record of at RTAG. They wont cover anything. Of course I was incredibly upset when I called RTAG themselves to see what they would have to say and one of the managers response to me was "What do you want me to do about it?" And he continually interupted me in a condecending tone to repeat that we had signed our names to this crazy contract and that if I had an issue I needed to call the lender. HE lied to us while we were in his office about this warranty he sold us that he claimed would aslo bring our percetage rate down. We are still running the numbers on what this car has cost us. We still have nearly 11,000 left on the loan. It now blue books at maybe 5000 if we sold it private party. Trade in 2500-3000

I purchased my vehicle with you a little over a year ago, everything is fine, although I did never receive my $100 referral for referring my significant other to you, which is WHO and WHAT this review is about. Just 1 year ago my significant other purchased a 2008 jeep from you with 60 thousand miles or so on it. When he first got the vehicle, there were some problems the first week or so and he took the jeep back and you guys fixed the problems. Well just ONE year down the road with only roughly 70 thousand miles on the jeep, the engine blows. He brought the jeep to you, you diagnosed the jeep for free, and yep sure enough, your service team diagnosed his jeep as needing a brand new engine. Now you are forcing him to pay $4 GRAND for a brand new engine plus interest, on top of his $400 a month jeep payment that he is already making . Thats outrageous. We arent ballers . We cant afford that. You also gave him the option that you would give him an $18,000 trade in value towards a $25,000 dollar vehicle but you would also have to add an additional $8000 negative equity on to the back of his loan. Causing him to pay out $33,000 plus interest on the vehicle. So then what, you guys can spend $2500 on a new engine for the jeep and then resell the jeep to someone else and continue to make profit ontop of profit? I understand that you are a business but there comes a time when a business needs to do whats right. What is the right thing to do? I will tell you, eat up $2500 and buy my boyfriend a new engine for his jeep. Im sure you made that OR MORE in profit from him, you made profit off of me, and his uncle also purchased a vehicle through you guys. If you want us to continue to come to you in the future and continue to refer people to you so that you can make MORE MONEY, then do whats right. We have been using one vehicle for over a month now because we still havent got this situated.

Kevin was awesome to work with. My wife and I looked here first and found a car we really liked. I decided to keep looking since this was the first place that we looked, despite my wife telling me that this was a great Car and that she really liked working with Kevin. After spending two days visiting all the car dealers in Reno having to walk out of one dealership because they wouldnt take no as answer, we came back to Kevin. Kevin was very knowledgeable, helpful, and relaxed. He took his time as we wanted to test drive the car three times. We dreaded having to look for a car because of the high-pressure sales people. This is not the case with Kevin and his manager Chris. The service was outstanding and Chris was even able to make sure the car had a warranty. If I had listen to my wife and purchased the car when we first visited Reno Tahoe Auto Group I would have saved myself a lot of time and energy. Learn from my experience go see Kevin and make buying a car a fun and enjoyable experience.
