I wrote the review below on Sunday, and got a call from Steve, the service manager on Monday morning. He was completely unaware of the problems I had with his staff and my situation. He took complete responsibility for everything. He asked for me to bring my car in that same day, so he could personally look at it. I brought it in, and he refunded me the amount that I had previously paid, as well as paid for a rental car for me for the day and night, and then he even went so far as fixing my AC for free! I am very impressed with Steve, and how far above and beyond he went to make me happy. Its good to know there are still people who care out there! And Steve is definitely one of them. He got my car fixed and back to working like new, with little inconvenience to me! Im leaving my original review below, just so you can see what a great job Steve did at correcting the problem, and completely reversing my frustrations. "Scam artists! I went in to get a second opinion of my AC, since my mechanic had already looked at it and said that it was a minor fix, I figured Id take it to Sierra motors since I had received a coupon for a tire rotation and needed one anyway. I also had them look at a light that had been coming on intermittently. Well, they diagnosed my AC and told me that I needed a whole new system at $2000, then said while they did one test drive of my AC, the light never came on so they couldnt tell me any more about that problem, but charged me for a second test drive anyway! And the whole reason I went there, for the rotation, they wouldnt do because one of my rims is dented. So I paid $200 for absolutely nothing being done. I took my car back to my mechanic, along with the service report and he called bullshit! He says that no way do I need a whole new AC, the part to fix it should only be about $100, and that my tires have been balanced, and the one with the dented rim is fine to be rotated. Long story short, I will NOT be going back to Sierra motors ever again, and Im pissed I wasted $200 and my whole afternoon! "

Bad Experiences at Sierra Motors James Town~ Seems that there is a lot of Unhappy people with the same problems! I bought a use Truck and got the Great sales Pitch of being Certified and checked ~ Half way home while going down the Hills, we encountered Several problem ~ Less then 30 Miles down the Hill the Check Engine Light Came On (Looks as if we are not the only one who encountered this problem) Truck started Cutting out and lost Compression so bad we couldnt drive it anymore. The brakes were so bad it ruined the rotors , the back ones were about 10% left. Once the truck was towed to the Our Home town dealership, we were told that parts were just changed in this truck with parts from a auto dismantling company that stamp their part and the truck had Zero Brakes in the front. Due to the bad problems , come to find out........ the Smog check they provided to DMV is fake. our home town dealership also Had this checked and it did not pass.We Called The Manager (Paul) and he had the worse unprofesional attitude Weve ever encountered. He told us that his safety inspection consist of them driving it and if it stops then its passed. Our dealership said that There is a law that used cars from a dealership are supposed to have 50-60% of the brake pad left to be safe. Paul Was Uncaring and suggested we then need to replace the brakes and Rotors on our own and replace the parts if we are unhappy with them. When asked to talk to the owner, he refused and said he was the manager and everything goes through him. Ive looked up reviews on this place and see that we are not the only family who has been shafted or Lied to. The Final Bill of Having the Truck I thought We Bought getting all the problems solved was $2500 Im asking to please watch-out !!! These people need to be stopped.

I bought a new truck from Sierra Motors in late 2016. For the first time in my many years of vehicle purchases, I can actually say this was a +pleasant+ experience (!!!). I worked with Sales Representative, Frank, who was awesome, both in his down-to-earth approach and his in-depth knowledge of not only the vehicle I looked at, but competitors. I learned a lot from him. He was a pleasure to work with, and without even being overtly salesy, enabled me to make my decision to purchase. He did everything he could to help throughout the process. Then the sales manager was busy that day, but still managed to process my paperwork efficiently, and wrapped up the deal without any of the all-too-typical post-sales add-on purchase pressures, another awful part of most vehicle purchase transactions. I really liked the dealerships pricing model: the vehicle price was fixed (at a good price, not an inflated one as is typically found elsewhere). So no haggling was needed (typically an exhausting and onerous activity which I dread.) I have only been back for one service visit so far, but that was pleasant as well. The work was done quickly and efficiently, and for a reasonable price (something not typically experienced at dealerships). I had barely sat down in the waiting room when my truck was ready. I definitely recommend Sierra Motors for their professionalism, and for making it easy to do business with them.

The service manger is rude, ignorant and openly assumes NO responsibility for the work or failures of his shop even if they are safety related. I tried to post my story but it exceeded the character limit; yes thats how many problems I had with them. From cut wires, malfunctioning backup camera, severely worn brake lines that were marked as "good condition" even though they were halfway worn through by a bolt, and a mouthy service manager STEVE, I had the worst possible experience ever. The service manger made it very clear that unless you pay for a "Safety Inspection" he does not assume responsibility for the safety of your vehicle even if his report shows the condition of the brake system as good condition when it is clearly not. Luckily after sitting down and talking with John the owner, and telling him my story, he was able to remedy the situation and show his respect and pride in his business by offering to pay for new brake lines. As long as the service manger still works there I will not go back and I advise you to reconsider as well. You expect to get good customer service from a small town local company but in my experience you get treated like crap. They are still working on my vehicle to fix the problems from yesterday so I can only hope that the owner and service manger take this event seriously ensure that my truck is back to the condition I brought it in as.

The first day we went to Sierra Motors it was in research mode for test driving. We had already located a sweet deal online and wanted to follow up. We usually research most things we purchase for months, so understand we were months into this already. We pulled up and were immediately greeted by Frank Rathburn. After explaining our purpose, and Frank explaining his, he assured us that he was there for us and not as a vulture salesman. His knowledge of the trucks we drove surpassed most, if not all, of the other salespeople we had contact with on this journey. Since we were also scheduled to have lunch with friends that afternoon he did his best to get us the most amount of information in his allotted time. Needless to say we were in and out, with a handful, and headful, of info in no time. Never once did we feel like we were being forced or pushed. Due to the fact that we had a basic knowledge and Frank filled in the rest we decided to go back the next weekend and purchase. Again, smooth sailing. Thanks to Frank for making this the most pleasant vehicle purchase we have ever experienced. We will not hesitate to return in the future!
