Highly overrated meat shop. I would not dare refer to JGM as a butcher shop, because as far as I can tell, there is no butchering going on. I wouldnt want to insult an actual butcher. Many of JGMs specialty products (e.g. prosciutto, which shouldnt event make the "specialty" category) appear to be repackaged retail products, at ridiculous prices. Sausage is mostly, but not all frozen. Grass-fed beef is all frozen. There are no fresh, whole chickens. Fish is all filleted and frozen. If you ask them where the fish is from, they shrug. Why are they even selling fish, if this is the best they can offer? In summary, unless youre coming in for above-average bacon or filet mignon, or perhaps a combination of the two -- ever so popular -- this is not the place for you.

This review is legit. Okay, so I absolutely love the seasonings and the bbq sauce. In fact I just licked the plate clean. I get late night cravings... what can I say. The food is always great. It is always fresh. It lasts over a week in my fridge without issue before I need to even think about putting it in the freezer. I have made so many new dishes with the meat that I have purchased here. Just Good Meats cares about its customers. Its that simple. Walk in, ask questions, they answer questions, pick your meat, its ready for you at the register if you want it to be... and youre done. No long lines, they are fully staffed at all times. Forget Stoysich, JGM is where it is at.

We buy a half a cow every year, and this year was the first time we bought from Just Good Meat. We could not be happier. The meat is excellent. There was a mix up on our order, but Sean and his team quickly rectified it without the least bit of push back. That has not been my experience in the past. Although we dont go there anymore, Id definately recommend this place to any up and coming family. My family and I would usually get the meat bundles and fill up the deep freezer. Plenty of food for days. We get our meats at a different place now, but I still go to JGM to get my lump charcoal - theyre the only place that I can find that carries the Fire King lump!

BEST Butcher Shop town starting with the exceptional friendly staff, that will provide you with great service. Rare to find these days. The quality of their meats amazing and the price value you cant beat. I could go on and about Just Good Meats because it is that good.

I heard good things and decided Id try them this weekend with labor day. I guess they didnt care to sell me porterhouse steaks because none of the three guys behind the counter cared to help me. Oh well. Ill find another place I guess.

Love this Place. Shop often and Have bought the Christmas Prime Rib there every year going back 2 generations. Always something delicious and surprising there. The butchers care and are friendly, happy to accommodate.

Have bought beef heart from then in the past. Their prices are way high. 2.99 lb. For beef heart? Bought it from them last month for less than 2.00. ,, over charged me. Will go to Millard same quality less price

I love buying meat here because it makes my friends think Im a master chef! The meat is just that good! We get brisket, steaks, porkchops...its all good! The staff is awesome: super helpful, fast and fun!

We dont buy filets when we go out and eat anymore. They are just a disappointment and cost a lot more. Just Good Meats is the best. Great prices and great customer service!! Highly recommend.

Great place to get local, nutrient dense meats. They are one of the few places that carry grass feed hamburger for a decent price (they even discounted for me to beat the whole foods price)!

Excellent meats. I would recommend to anyone. Their sides are amazing too. Try the baked beans and the crab dip. Best in town, hands down. Very clean and well run place.
