I bought carpet from Home Depot almost a month and a half ago. The purchase was frustrating from the beginning. Getting anyone to help you in the Bozeman store is virtually impossible. We went with a carpet off the role..in stock.. should be pretty easy right? Wrong. Getting the appt set up to have someone come measure was like pulling teeth, which I had to do before I could pay for the carpet. When the man finally got to my house a week later, he showed up an hour early, therefore making me leave work earlier then expected. He proceeded to answer his phone multiple times during the measure which took him an hour just to do our 1200 sq foot basement. When I asked if he would mind doing one more room quickly that I wanted to add to the order, he informed me that he was out of time (I remind you he showed up an hour early). At this point my frustration level was so high that I decided I would just call Home Depot and give them the measurements to add later. They would not accept my measurements, therefore loosing out on an additional carpet purchase from me. When the bid came back yet another week later I went in to pay for the carpet. No one could pull up the order. It appeared that the order had been cancelled. I waited in the store for almost 2 hours while they tried to recover my order only to be told a price two times what I had originally be quoted because they had put in a special order carpet not the one I had actually picked out. Yes, I admit I became frustrated, however, when I finally walked away to pay up front the sales associate that had been helping me proceeded to talk poorly about me not knowing that my husband was still standing right there. Really professional Home Depot, really professional. The installation has been just as big of a nightmare. Home depot relayed one date and when I called the installation company they didnt have me anywhere on the schedule. They finally got me scheduled for Sept. 2nd, a month after purchasing the carpet. I waited and waited this morning and no one showed up. I finally called Home Depot at 10:00 and of course the installers truck had broke down. I wonder if they were going to call and inform me that they werent going to show up? I am now rescheduled for Thursday. I guess we will see... I would not recommend buying anything at the Bozeman Home Depot. They need to get their ducks in a row and figure out their customer service. This was a horrific experience. I only have faith that when the installation company finally shows up on Thursday that they will do a good job, given that the installer is a local guy and not affiliated with Home Depot.

They are absolutely lost. I ordered a camera (nest) over 3 weeks ago in their store... there was no delay charging my bank account... then they said the camera was not in the store. Customer service said there were 7 of those cameras coming in two days later and they would pull one and call me... waited 12 days, no calls, nothing. Went into the store and talked to customer service... person tried to give me someone elses merchandise (fortunate for them, Im honest). The cameras came in and were "in a box somewhere", after which I was advised the prior "trained to open the boxes" do not work weekends, so I would have to wait one day and they would call me... three days later, no calls. Got passed around on the phone and last person said they couldnt find them, but they would call me (yeah, sure.). Went to the store and talked to customer service who said they didnt know which box the cameras were in... spoke with manager (Kiara Linschied) who said she was going to get with electrical team and find them "today" (this was in the morning) and she would personally call me back. Well, a day has passed--no calls, nothing. I called today (she gave me her card) and it went to her extension and the fellow who answered told me "shes off today"... lol, no surprise. I gave him my info and he said he would look and call me back.... not holding my breath. Ill shop Lowes from this day forward--they lost me. Recommend steering clear of Home Depot for any in-store out of stock orders... they dont care about you as a customer at all--youre not relevant, so just know that when you do business with them.

The purpose of this review to make Home Depot management aware of the lack of customer attention, courtesy, and service at this location. I walked into this location last week and saw "at least" 10 people walking around in orange vests. NOT ONE person acknowledged me to even say hello or can I help you find something. No one was in the particular department I needed so I asked for help. I had to interrupt two store employees shooting the breeze with a friend to ask for help. More things happened that made me feel like I was an inconvenience to them for being there - Ill skip the details. Since no one was willing to help me, I called Lowes to ask they they carried the products I was looking for and of course, they did. As I walked out of the store, an employee actually acknowledged me and I asked him if it was possible to talk with with the store manager. He said he was the assistant manager. I told him my frustration with the lack of service. He said he was sorry, but did not ask for any details, did not give his name, and did not even offer to personally help me. I told him I was going to Lowes and plan to never do business at that location again. And I was trying to be nice and respectful. I wanted him to at least try to make this right and help me. He said he was sorry to hear that I would be taking all our business "across the street" and again, he said he was (not so sincerely) sorry as I walked out. I hope management reads this and makes an effort to enhance the customer experience. Home Depot is a good organization, but this location needs some work.

Do NOT order through this store! We stopped in to look at exterior doors. After finding a display we liked, we waited a good 15 minutes before the attendant showed up with no offer of help from any other employees. Our order came up to be more than the price on display to which we were told that the display is old and the prices are wrong. It is the stores responsibility to keep that updated. We went ahead and our order was due to be in 2 weeks later. It has now been a month and yet, they still said 2 more weeks. We cancelled the order and got our money back. It is absolutely ridiculous to not get an order in or communicate with the customer if something is delayed. We will never order anything through them again, because we cannot trust that they will follow through in a timely fashion.

Absolutely terrible. Just went to return some items I hadnt used all in original packaging, I had lost my receipt but the woman at the returns counter was more than helpful. About a quarter of the way through my transaction the MANAGER came up and started directing the woman as to what to do even though she had already proven she was plenty capable. The manager stood there throughout the entirety of the transaction watching over my shoulder as if i was trying to pull one over on them. I will NEVER shop there again. Update: 2/2/2012: Wrote letter to manager 1/24/2012 expressing my concerns over his conduct, included phone number and return mailing address. Still have not heard back from anyone at the store. Nice customer service.......
